Neither Bruce or Nicko will be there because of any remote movie connections. They want to pull in visitors, and Bruce and Nicko would be an outright mini-tractor-beam for Maiden fans in the area.

It's a horror genre fan convention that’s not just about movies. If you are looking for a connection I think the name "Iron Maiden" along with Eddie, album covers, and some songs can be considered "horror"

We have been fed modified images for decades and decades. The only difference is now everybody can do it and it has become a standard. We are being fed increasingly "un-organic" music performances and sonics. I don't think some image filtering is any more upsetting or unsurprising or offensive in 2025 than water being wet, metal drums not sounding anywhere like they do on records acoustically or melodyne pitching software being all over every damn studio recording we hear.

But I do think running to AI to check for authenticity is silly beyond belief in this context (and especially when it logically will get flagged just for the caption alone) and in a sense is equivalent to filtering, except you're outsourcing "fact-checking" and intellectual arguments to AI while making a case for authenticity and reality being altered/ruined by a (graphics) technological tool. It's highly ironic.
