USA Politics

And yet, they are not
Unfortunately this. It's the hypocrisy that gets me. Remember how furious they were when Biden pardoned his son? They would've exploded if a Democrat did a tiny fraction of what Trump is doing, but since it is "their" team violating the constitution and the rights of American citizens they are cheering.

We’re all just talking in circles. They will not learn. They will not think for themselves. They will not progress. They are failed.

All of the conservatives have left this thread crying “oppression” because they are so disgustingly blind that they have already fallen off a cliff or they know it’s wrong but are too stubborn and prideful to admit it (lol lol lol I know right, can you imagine if they could think for themselves lol lol).

I think he achieved exactly what he wanted: Nobody's talking about Epstein anymore.
Oh, they still are. :D

Maxwell's "Jeffrey did nothing, Trump did nothing, I'm innocent, Jeffrey didn't kill himself" released testimony helped bring it back to the forefront again. Big ol' self-kick in the nuts moment for the DoJ.

It's like suggesting a plausible and legitimate way of hydrating is to drink water. While the Democratic party as a whole still seems to be standing in quicksand (letting your opponent sink faster isn't exactly strategy here) and is trying to find any sort of position on anything, it should be noted Carville's been on the sidelines speaking out of both sides of his mouth. Should also note Carville's lost more presidential elections than he's won.

Well, the premise of crime being high and the biggest problem is false in the first place. We have decades of data to analyze and can see that crime (with a few spikes here and there) has been steadily declining. Compare crime rates from today to the ones of the 90s and you'll see that things are much better nowadays, despite the claims of Trump, the Republicans and conservatives in general.

The Dems desperately need to do something but laser-focusing on a made-up issue doesn't seem productive. I'd rather they go the Mamdani route, listen to the plight of the constituents (especially with regards to the economy and job security) and focus on that.

Carville was also convinced that Harris would win Florida. A big problem with the Democratic Party right now imo is a lot old guard politicians and pundits who still think this is a 90s political landscape and are so out of touch with where the party and country are at that they have no idea how to handle Trump or take the party to the next generation. Time to retire and bring some new voices in.

Hell, Carville's advice to the party was play dead and just let Trump fuck it up and run on that. But now he wants to spin things like they haven't been doing enough?

Jim will say anything to get booked on TV and subliminally get more students to commit to Louisiana State. :D

Is it true that on the GoFundMe platform, “progressive and caring” U.S. citizens started a fundraiser for Decarlos Brown (the subway killer)? If this is true, it’s increasingly clear that the U.S. seriously needs to check itself. Trump is not the problem—Trump is just the result, the outcome. I’m baffled.

And to be clear, I still hate Trump, but the Democrats in their current form are completely out of touch with reality.

(Yes, yes, this post may be ignorant—I don’t live in the U.S. and I may often fall for propaganda—but it seems pretty obvious that a government or establishment which blames society instead of criminals is going to either disintegrate itself or the society.)
