USA Politics

It's like suggesting a plausible and legitimate way of hydrating is to drink water. While the Democratic party as a whole still seems to be standing in quicksand (letting your opponent sink faster isn't exactly strategy here) and is trying to find any sort of position on anything, it should be noted Carville's been on the sidelines speaking out of both sides of his mouth. Should also note Carville's lost more presidential elections than he's won.

Well, the premise of crime being high and the biggest problem is false in the first place. We have decades of data to analyze and can see that crime (with a few spikes here and there) has been steadily declining. Compare crime rates from today to the ones of the 90s and you'll see that things are much better nowadays, despite the claims of Trump, the Republicans and conservatives in general.

The Dems desperately need to do something but laser-focusing on a made-up issue doesn't seem productive. I'd rather they go the Mamdani route, listen to the plight of the constituents (especially with regards to the economy and job security) and focus on that.

Carville was also convinced that Harris would win Florida. A big problem with the Democratic Party right now imo is a lot old guard politicians and pundits who still think this is a 90s political landscape and are so out of touch with where the party and country are at that they have no idea how to handle Trump or take the party to the next generation. Time to retire and bring some new voices in.
