Run For Your Lives World Tour 2026 Rumours and Speculation

When did they announce a tour with the time span in the title before this one?
They've announced tours mentioning the first leg's year, and then ended up adding further legs down the line.
While it is technically correct that they went out of their way to specify "2025-2026", that alone isn't enough to break their previous pattern of extending tours by additional legs.

And I'll repeat, I don't make an argument about whether they go down that route or if it's even realistic or not. For me it's about the principle of never being 100% certain with Maiden's future plans, since they like to throw curveballs. I'd never say a certain business move is 100% guaranteed, since there's always the possibility of them changing their minds.

It's like saying in 2013 that the History Part 4 dvd is a certainty, because it got teased at the end of Maiden England, yet we all know how that project ended up being cancelled.

As I can recall now, the only times (in recent years) they did that was Maiden England and Legacy of the Beast (altough the latter probably had the 3rd leg confirmed from the beginning).

And again, the years in the title are just part of the reason why they won't be doing another leg in 2027. The main reason is that they're squeezing Europe next year instead of waiting for 2027.

Bruce called the 2026 leg big, but they've never done that before, right^. It's possible though.

Not during one leg of the tour per se, but in 2008 they played in all the listed places! Of course using Ed-Force 1 for the first leg of the 2008 tour made it a lot more convenient schedulewise than it otherwise would've been.

2016 TBOS. But, that was Ed Force One again.

Good call. I wonder if the reasons for doing a 3rd leg twice before were just to change a couple of songs (they didn't for the first 2 legs). We know that in 2014 they wanted to take a break and ME tour wasn't originally planned (so they weren't sure what to do), but the planned 3rd leg of LOTB tour, even with a potential debut of a new single, was like kind of odd. Planned from the start, obligation for 2022? They wanted to record the shows, they haven't played in Asia/Oceania during it, but their ideas of debuting a new single during a different and shorter tour in 2010 (especially) and 2003 were better. I understand that idea then, even for 2020 (2022 was worth it because of the SJ songs), cool promotion, but now... if they decided their future with Simon. Maybe they would do it because they need more time to record a new album. The only logical 3rd leg would be Part 2 (with dates in Europe, again), but would they do it - too much of a change? Although possible with the screens. I like to think this idea has a better chance for a shorter leg of a tour than a whole new tour for 2 years. Btw, 2014 could have been a great History Part 4 short tour.

They were probably offered a shitload of money by Sonisphere and other festivals to play in 2014 and decided to keep the tour going. Replacing 3 songs with 3 different ones (later it was just 2) was possibly just an afterthought.
