Bruce will join Jordan Belfort in Poland to talk about business.

It seems that it will be the same talk as always 'how to move from being rockstar to a business empire'. Personally I don't think that co-headline with Jordan Belfort is something Bruce should associate with but hey, money is money I guess.

Why???? I would never take someone seriously who is at an event where Jordan Belfort of all people wants to teach how to be successful.
Do you really think Bruce needs that money?

Maybe Bruce'll tell the story of when he first met Rod.

Rod Smallwood: You gotta stay relaxed. Do you jerk off?
Bruce Dickinson: What? Do I jerk off? Yeah. Yeah, I jerk off. Yeah.
Rod: How many times a week?
Bruce: Like, um, three or four. Three or four times, maybe five.
Rod: Gotta pump those numbers up. Those are rookie numbers in this racket. I myself, I jerk off at least twice a day.
Bruce: Wow.
Rod: Once in the morning, right after I work out. And then once right after lunch.
Bruce: Really?
Rod: I want to. That's not why I do it. I do it cause I fuckin' need to.

New interview (not full), some new info.

The band is incredible. I mean, they’re on fire. I mean, so we are gonna do a new album. We are recording the new album, rather in January next year, here in LA. So this is a great way of just getting the band locked into the mentality of that. In fact, we were in the studio, what, just yesterday for three or four days doing updates on the demos that we did with the drum machines and things like that. Well, we’ve done them with the whole band now, and that just takes the songs to another level for the new album.

Well, Mandrake was kind of semi-conceptual. I mean it was conceptual in its visual approach, you know, more than the music, you know, there were elements of the music that were connected with the comic, and we’ve actually just published the book, the first book of the first four episodes of the comic. So that’s something that people can get that’s got some solidity to it, you know, they can look at it and go, “Oh yeah, I get what this is all about.” But the albums have always got to be standalone units. And the stuff we’ve got, 18 tracks demoed for the album. And we won’t record 18 tracks, but we, you know, I think we’ve probably settled on, you know, 9, 10, 11 of them are absolute bangers. And the other ones, we’ll just see where we go with them and what it ends up like. But, band is on fire. It will be a different feel to the album because this is gonna be recorded live. So we’re not gonna be doing the, you know, I mean, Mandrake was a bit like stitching together, Frankenstein’s Monster because it was stuff from 2014 and then it was stuff from, and all of it glued together. So sonically it was a little bit all over the place.

  • So the band is already working/updating the demos (in parts!) and will record live - Bruce noted the important band feel. Improve the songs, expected, but let's see. He also acknowledged the chaotic vibe of TMP, which wasn't an issue for TOS imo. The new one could be more of a sonic unit, mainly very heavy. It should be better.
  • He won't record the 18 songs ofc, mentions 9, 10 or 11 - which are absolute bangers according to him... what about the rest? Hope for 11, 10 is normal, 9 like TMP (or TOS without the bonus song), not a good start. It's kind of odd he likes to save most of the material... they'll see what to do with the rest. Hmm, I know, save them for the next album and release bonus song/s again. I want at least 12, oh well.

Bruce said in an interview he will rotate three Maiden songs.

Revelations is one, but the big surprise is that he will do a song Maiden have never done before. The last one is surely Bring Your Daughter

It's certainly not. There are tons of artists' demos and song ideas that get reworked into superior work.
Yeah. Bruce's solo writing is different and more productive than Maiden's. I'm just surprised because the material is brand new. I guess he just choose the strongest ideas for him. As if the others haven't been worked on at all, so many demos. Unlike Maiden, I guess.

Can you share the interview? 3 Maiden songs is quite unexpected, I thought Bruce didn't need to do that now, but at least it'll be rotating. Hopefully not at the expense of a solo song. Not sure, what about the cover?
Live debut of a Maiden song, cool. :ok: So it should be one he wrote/co-wrote. Flash Of The Blade? Empire, nope right. Co-written is difficult to guess. Whatever the choice, it would be great.

Hmm, speaking about Maiden's current tour, he said there's a nice window open for 2027 because they are going to be busy in 2026. How to interpret that?

More from the interview:
He didn't even know that Chris recorded and played the solo on ''Rain On The Graves''. He thought it was Roy. Odd from Roy really.

He's already thinking which solo songs to play in 2027, because he still has a lot of songs to play again from 7 albums - and has offers for shows.

For TMP tour 2nd leg he said: 2-3 TMP songs (''Shadow is a favorite''), a couple from BTP, 1 from SW, 2-3 options from TOS and ofc from AOB and TCW. Nothing from TM for now, but they can learn and swap a song at any time.

According to him, TM would probably benefit from a little bit of twiddling of the sounds, a bit more weight, but the mix is great. Just a remaster if it sounds right. They look on merits, won't do it just for the sake of it.

He said that RFYL tour completely sucks on YouTube, but live it's quite different, it's so good.

He called ''Revelations'' a pretty long song... wow! No parts are missing, Bruce! Unlike TMP, shorter on purpose...?

He once again said that he loves Killers (Wrathchild, Prodigal Son) and said that he enjoys singing the title track live the most. The screams takes him back to 1982.

He called SJ one of their best albums in years. BNW and AMOLAD are great for him.

Since TNOTB was recorded in 5 weeks, he said they made a few mistakes. Probably Invaders and Gangland. He praised Total Eclipse again.

The hardest song for him to sing live is ''Aces High'', without a doubt. He said it was a challenge even in the studio at the time. It took him 10 shows to work it out, because of the place in the set. He also added that he was listening to some performances of it from 1984/1985 - and said: ''yep, I struggled with it back then too''.
