This is the difference between Republicans and normal people. They seem to think this is some sort of tribal thing where we are protecting our "side" and just trying to get Trump. If Trump released all the Epstein files and was exonerated by them while Clinton/etc were implicated, I would happily admit that I was wrong and also call for consequences for those on the list.

If somehow the Epstein files come out and there are photos that criminally implicate Trump, I doubt we would hear much regret from his supporters.
 
Well we are currently discussing a country where it is an argument whether somebody should be punished or even accused of wrongdoing if they hold office or run for office. The Supreme Court for one seems to think that there shouldn’t be consequences.

Trump screams "fake news" and no-one bats an eyelid any more. He's doing what suits him because he can: if it's not in anyone's power to stop him, I wonder if he even cares that no-one believes him.

Despite everything pathetic about this post existing, it’s even more pathetic that so many people in this country are taking pointers from a 79-year old convicted felon, convicted sex offender and definite rapist about what is “cool.”

On a more serious note, though, Trump is increasingly reminding me of Joseph Stalin: okay no-one's been executed or sent to a gulag (yet) but, short of that, he's doing everything in his power to follow the same path towards tyranical-despot-madness. If he ever did manage to sieze "absolute power" ... :(
