Same. It was merely a wild guess on the potential source of this hunch or whatever. I wouldn't put too much emphasis on the thing, I just found it interesting that they deemed it worth a mention (something on the comments section of the post too), which potentially indicates that someone has got that impression from somewhere.

Again, not saying it's a very credible one, but I don't think they're doing it for the attention or whatever either, doesn't seem like their style. Might be just a hunch indeed that they state as a (potential) fact.

As a reunion era fan, I'd love to have as many albums as possible myself (I suppose even without Nicko, oh well), but there are age limits in question - their longevity is awesome and they feel more energetic than their peers, but just like with Nicko, there's a physical and human limit which you can't go over. My guess is this really being their last or maybe next to last tour, I don't think they'll be able to tour much longer beyond 2030. And this is nothing new from me, I always said I don't expect them to tour and possibly even play all that much upwards of the 75th year (I'm talking primarily about 'Arry, because he's the only irreplaceable member - there was a time I thought the same about Nicko, but here we are).

(and I wouldn't want to see them in all their geriatric splendour moving with glacial speed like Kiss who are only slightly older - Simmons is about six years older than 'Arry)

My guess is this tour, then one farewell album and maybe a farewell tour, with the possibility of occasional small club half-reunions afterwards at best.
 
Also, I realise I'm a sceptic and the resident contrarian and complain a lot ... and have grumbled about the new drummer and the setlist, but let me stress that all grumbling aside, they are still delivering pretty high quality albums AND shows, higher than some of the artists a generation younger.

The fact we are even speculating about possible tours as they turn septuagenarian is a fucking miracle, especially in showbusiness priding itself that people there tend to die at 27. And we're the lucky ones - my kids for example already won't be able to see them live. So there's that. Let me stress that for all my acerbic comments and taking the piss, Maiden are fucking awesome.

Band sounds and looks great.
Visuals are stunning, now the songs really come alive.

Just look at the Wasted Years stage, wow.

Wasted Years stage is indeed amazing.

As I said yesterday, the only downer was Aces Mid-Height. Replace that with Tailgunner and it's much better. Or put Running Free there, if you are scared of NPFTD.
 
Dave is performing like a beast. Maiden's star performer on this tour.

Adrian once again had some technical issue during Rime, or was it a personal error? Bruce missed the timing when he came back in during the quiet part, and Steve completely fucked up the part where he gets the song going again before "the curse it lives on..."

I enjoyed the show much more today

1. I was sitting down. It gives a better view and yesterday my back was killing me so I briefly left the hall during Aces/Fear to sit down a bit

2. I was expecting something different than what we got, and that probably affected the first impression.
 
I also realized that this might be the first Iron Maiden show that is maybe better enjoyed from further back due to screens. I was 10 meters from the mixing desk and it was great. Didn't miss the war at the front.
