Again, his range was impressive and he definitely had the energy, so he was a great and effective showman back then already, but singing wise? He was all over the place. Every single song has multiple lines where he misses the proper pitches because he simply couldn't control his voice well enough.

Also, just to make sure because I realize this sounds pretty negative:

I'm judging young Bruce compared to how he sounded in the early 2000s and how other legendary singers sound. Even for the years where I'm not a big fan of his voice he's still great and far above the average singer.
 
The biggest reason In his vocal change was probably simply touring less. Like he said in an interview just before the release of Brave New World in May 2000 that since leaving Maiden he'd only done 4-5 month tours with enough day offs instead of ten months / five nights a week. He then exampled that if football player has to do four matches a week his body starts falling apart. So that.

I like how he Sings from 1992 to 2010 Maybe now is not like those years. But always a good performance. He could do that for maybe 10 years more. Moving its a bit different nowadays.

Yup.... some of the songs on the video are subpar compared with the album version. But then again 82 to 85 Bruce was on godlike mode and that LAD album performance is nothing short of jaw dropping (so everything short of excellent during that period is noticeable). Unpopular opinion here - I know for a long time now - something I always found to be... well... quite peculiar (and unique too, taking into account the vast majority of fans I know share the praises of early Bruce's vocals).

But it's ok... Everyone is entitled to his own opinion no matter how strange it may sound.

Every decent sounding live album has overdubs, let us be honest. And if we're talking about 90's onwards, they have TONS of it. In the case of RIR it's blatant - since there's the broadcasted TV version (just check the clansman... how the tempo goes completely off the rails on the intro).

Yup... utter BS. Like I said: every decent Maiden live album has overdubs. And I wouldn't bet my money on the fact that subpar releases like "A Real live/dead One", "TBOS Live Chapter" or the abomination that is "Night Of The Dead" are utterly devoid of those, either

Mmmmmm although sounding decent during the first half of the tour, he was already sounding tired and strained as hell on the American leg (check Rock In Rio 2022)... which is completely understandable. Now... this last tour I can easily say it's the best I've listened to Bruce sing since 2014... and that's not even close IMO. And I had the very same feeling listening to his solo gigs. In my book it's a far cry from the 2000's and not even comparable to his first 3 tours with Maiden (understandably so... the burden of age is unforgiving). But even so, I'm really impressed he managed to turn back the clock almost a decade.

It's weird, considering his age, I kind of thought that downward slide was just the beginning. Amazingly, he pulled out of it with the last leg of Legacy, great performances on Leg 1 of Mandrake, and both legs of Future Past. I'd say he's better on this leg than last year's, but they've still got a month+ to go on it.

Amen to that. I try to forget that thing was even released. It's painful to listen to (literally, since Bruce is sick as hell and the effort to sing - even so poorly - must have been huge).
