Regarding vocal training for Blaze, I would bet that this was never considered. It might have increased his range by a little bit, but certain songs were too much for him.

Also there is too much pride and in the world of rock and metal, especially when it comes to the badge of honour that is ‘being self-taught’. It’s not a badge of honour. It’s being too proud to admit someone can help develop your craft further.

So I was at the Blaze/Absolva gig in Sofia on Sunday. Blaze was in excellent shape, and the audience was amazing. During Man on the Edge, they were the loudest I ever heard at a gig, and they were only about 200 people tops! Also got Blaze to write a birthday message for my brother, who's also a fan but couldn't be there, which was really cool.

He’s such a top bloke. I haven’t had the chance to see his this year. None of his gigs have been that close to home.

During the meet and greet at one of his first gigs after his heart attack, he was asking me how the sound was and whether he sounded good. That shows he really cares about the opinions of his fans and respects them.
