The Post Your Own Music Thread

Thanks for checking it out Saap!
Before we entered the studio we weren't sure if we had time for doing this particular song (we were not sure if we could record enough for an EP or album), but in the end we did have time and I have the fondest memories of recording this and very happy with the total result, together with Merge. The basic tracks (guitar/bass/drums) were done in the first completed take (I think we did an earlier take and broke it off within 1 minute and then restarted immediately). A second guitar and vocals were added afterwards on the same day and the synths one day later if I recall well.

I'm afraid there isn't one yet at the moment, Loosey. We'll try to work this out on Bandcamp and then I'll get back here, hopefully tomorrow.

Where is the link to buy physical?
There is an option now on our Bandcamp site, @LooseCannon. If I understand well, the procedure is as follows:

You pay (in advance) for the CD plus shipping costs and packing fee. Then you'll immediately have the opportunity (and later as well!) to download the digital version (in various formats). De CD will be sent on the 28th.

Who do I gotta kill to get it signed?

Checked out the record Foro, it's damn good. Your coherence as a band is very impressive. Shout out to your bassist, he/she really carries the album for me.

Liked Second Circle the most. Some tasty drumming from you on that track as well.

Today we've officially released our album on CD.
Orders are ready for take off !

Hope you guys do not mind that I'm "spamming" this topic but we got a really nice review from the biggest Dutch metal ezine, Lords of Metal, that I like to share with you:

Gula - Gula

Label : Eigen beheer | Archive under post rock / post metal

Release type: Full-length CD

Bart M. : Gula is a Dutch band that did their first live performance last year and now release their eponymous debut album. It is always exciting when you get a debut album to review because you literally don't know what to expect. Sometimes they are a big disappointment, sometimes it is reasonably to very good and occasionally there is an album that leaves a deep and lasting impression. 'Gula' goes into the third category.

This album takes us on a trip through six inhospitable, sonic landscapes, each of which has a wonderful, versatile composition. ...

A review from our debut album on Dutch Progressive Rock Page (in a mini reviews special for the albums from the edges of prog world) we're very happy with!

[..] Take a hefty dose of Krautrock of the more psychedelic flavour and spread it on a base of metal, then add a spoonful-or-two of doom to some of the slow-but-heavy parts, pour in some dirty psych blues for the guitar sound, and a pinch of progressive rock for intermittant, surprising changes. Shaken, not stirred. We don't want everything mixed too well, we still want to be able to taste the different ingredients. [..]

Started in January and finally finished my latest Lego brick film for my band at the weekend. For the song, Just When I Wasn’t Lookin’ which features a guest vocal from Martin Jakubski who fronts a Maiden tribute band here in Scotland, namely, Maiden Scotland.
