Iron Maiden Sells Half of Their Catalog, Name And Likeness Rights to Pophouse Entertainment

I was looking what they have realased since pophouse has their rights but i dont find anything. They only thing the avatars tour. I really hopr maiden dont do that
The whole https://shopkissonline.com/ has been implemented under Pophouse ownership. The music releases and merch concepts are pretty ace and cater diverse budgets.

We’ll see how things develop, but I think it’s a smart move.

Business article about the agreement, suggests new album will be recorded and then a tour.

Fingers xx.

one out of five ain't so bad.png
I was wondering why they used such an ancient band photo, but the caption takes the cake. Did an AI write this? Adrian's the only one labeled correctly and Bruce's name is spelled wrong! Amazing.

The new album bit is just pure speculation by the author of the piece. The rest has been cobbled together from existing sources of material.

It's a Forbes Contributor, they're community articles. Not written by Forbes themselves, they basically recruit people to publish whatever they want on the site. It's always a source of annoyance and misinformation.

As someone who also went to school in the 80s I can confirm what you said, with the addition of being mocked and bullied and pretty much ostracised by others for choosing to wear band tshirts and generally being a metalhead.

I also went to school in the ’80s, but I never experienced bullying, or even heard of anyone being bullied, for being a metalhead. The feeling that we were different, ostracized, and so on seemed to live more in our own minds than in fact-based reality.

I wasn’t bullied at school in the 90s for being a Maiden fan - but I was widely mocked. Even my good friends (who listened to Oasis and REM) were baffled and incredulous regarding my music tastes.

All very subjective and individual as experiences. Some people no doubt become metal fans because they are bullied already.

Exactly my case if you exchange Oasis and REM with Ramones and Devo.

We have spoke about it before, being a metal fan during 90s was not easy i would say since 1994 till 99 when metal started again to rise. I would not say bullyied becuase i dint hapoened to me but for sure we were a minority against all the grunge and later britsh pop. Nowadays i can listen to all.

I doubt we will see a virtual Maiden show. I would not be interested regardless. What they could do would have some kind of fantasy/horror animated series with Eddie. Could be really good if done right. Anyone ever read that comic series? Any good, still going?

I will say from what I've seen of the new animated Piece of Mind Eddie in Iron Maiden, it works really well with the stage lighting making him look like he pops from the screen. Funny enough, very similar to how the hologram ABBA in ABBA Voyage works. (I still don't think there'll ever be a hologram Maiden show.)

A virtual show could be cool only if they amped up the Eddie theatrics to overload settings, pretty much. Every song there's some Eddie, and always something to look at.

As for the comic, I wasn't impressed. It reminded me a little of the old Evil Ernie stuff from the Chaos! Comics days, and I preferred the Lady Death stuff over that. If I recall, Eddie's followed around by a lady prophet type character who does most of the talking, while Eddie mostly grunts. Some might like it, so if you want to check it out, they have both runs in a pair of TPB collections. But no, it's not running anymore, probably since it was tied to the now shut-down mobile game.
