Adrian getting dragged by the tank tracks story is also hillarious. Some info from Sean and Colin is wrong, tho. The doubleneck was first used on the A Matter Of The Beast tour and the SG was on stage for the last time in 2012.

LAD 64 Kahler Strat was bought on 1st of August 1983 in Nashville. It all checks out. It also appears on that guitar collection photo from 1983 backstage. It's first stage appearance was in 1984 during the Powerslave tour.
Early days rosewood Strat was a CBS-era Strat anyway...

The white/cream Stratocaster from the 83' collection photo is not the LAD 64' Kahler Strat.
From what I can tell, that guitar is from somewhere between 1959 and 1962. The spotting details that indicate that are:
1) The wide position markers on the 12th fret (discontinued in 1963)
2) Slab rosewood fretboard (discontinued in 1962)
3) Fender "spaghetti" logo (used through 1964)
The neck on the LAD 64 Kahler Strat has:
1) Narrow position markers on the 12th fret (introduced in 1963)
2) Later thicker "transition" Fender logo (introduced in 1964, generally associated with the L-Series of serial numbers)

The white Strat was always a 61/62. The LAD Kahler Strat was always a 64. We knew that. The only info about the 64 to me is that it was fire-damaged when Dave bought it.

Not really. Maybe for Janick. Dave for instance famously used Les Pauls through Victories and Fenders durnig TBOS. Adrian also had an array of amps in the studio for AMLOAD.
The 80's amps were likely not fired up since the Powerslave tour. Dave went to GK after that and I believe it was JCM900's during early 90's. Also, Dave nowadays uses A LOT more gain than he did back then.
