But why would they? The statement from Maiden basically confirms that they still intend to release the show.It would be a shame if these 13 songs went to the bin.

It's interesting how everyone seems to think the sound quality would be way different if they took that from another show - sound should be the same general level of quality, I would think every show is recorded the same way across the tour. Maybe from a video perspective it would differ - in which case perhaps they could do live video of the paris show as it happened (minus the 1hour black out haha) with no encore, but could release a Live record with the whole set, but recorded from different shows - so that we can still listen to the whole set live even if we can't watch it.I agree with Nico. Bin 2MTM as it was featured on so many live releases and just record the encores elsewhere. It would be a shame if these 13 songs went to the bin.
The sound quality should be the same as they record every show. However, I don't want another concert video with shit continuity. Releasing an encore from another show is fine. However, I'm afraid, they might put in 2MTM from a random festival show and it will ruin the vibe of the DVD. They have done this before. It's interesting how everyone seems to think the sound quality would be way different if they took that from another show - sound should be the same general level of quality, I would think every show is recorded the same way across the tour. I guess I might be in the minority here thinking that 2MTM is absolutely deserving of being in the set. I think it's one of Maiden's strongest 'shortish' songs - just as it's been in a few live releases before doesn't mean it's worth scrapping now. A lot of people dismiss it because bulk of fans are probably in EU/USA where you can see most tours without difficulty (I mean, not having to travel internationally, take a week off work etc) - I was lucky to see Maiden on the BOS & TFP Tour, and this year for RFYL, but we missed LOTB, Maiden England, Final Frontier - we did get SBIT tour, but I wasn't quite aware of Maiden enough to go at the time - so this is kind of the closest I'll get to dream setlist, including 2MTM.
Hell yeah. But do we really need another live album?
Fair enough! It is just that after all these years, I would preffer a new studio album. Nicko might as well play on it, right?Hell yeah.
Choice is obvious there - new album! But if we get to choose nothing or new live album - I mean, give me new live album. + DVD comes with it tooFair enough! It is just that after all these years, I would preffer a new studio album. Nicko might as well play on it, right?
It’s good that Seventh Son and Phantom will finally get a post-1999 live release. Its insane to think that the most recent live version of Phantom was LAD!But do we really need another live album?
I'll buy any new live album they put out, but I rarely play them, especially if they don't have renditions of songs they hadn't played before (new album cuts, rarities). That's what makes it so frustrating that we're getting one for this tour, yet The Future Past gets ignored. But do we really need another live album?
Well, Nicko couldn’t play at his previous level, so maybe that is a consideration taken into account. Nicko has been rather candid about his feelings about that last tour.I'll buy any new live album they put out, but I rarely play them, especially if they don't have renditions of songs they hadn't played before (new album cuts, rarities). Not me.But do we really need another live album?

I don't think they would do a live album instead of a studio album - the work the band themselves do wouldn't really overlap other than maybe approving the final mix/video cut. If the Paris show had gone perfectly (or even as it has gone now) - they could easily have that mixed and mastered by the time the tour wraps up - so not reliant specifically on the band being available to work on it, like they would a studio album.Fair enough! it would be great if they added tracks from the Future Past Tour. For me Caught Somewhere In Time, Stranger In A Strange Land, The Prisoner, Alexander The Great, Hell On EarthSince they'll use material from different shows for the missing songs... how about some choice bonus tracks from the Future Past tour?![]()
The encores they can use any shows the problem in this tour is the sun and the "great idea" to use screens when they start all the shows with sun until the 6 or 7th song. Or record another indoor venue or start any show laterThey will use this show for sure, they took special photo at the end. Actually, it will be easy to edit too:
-Up until 2mtm use 2026 show
-Powerslave ends in black out anyway, so editing could be done easily with 2mtm and rotam (both as they lead one into another and because what Bruce said before ROTAM)
-From rtth until encores use 2026 show
-For encores use 2025 show
They don't even have to use Paris 2025 show, they can just label it as "Live from RFYL tour". They'll use it only if they care about consistency of Bruce yelling "Scream for me Paris" and not to be interupted with "Scream for me Not-Paris".
