I like Rush when I like them, but sometimes Rush are a bit too much Rush. Still considering getting a ticket for the Oslo show though.

Just watched Tom Sawyer from LA , turns out Anika knows her way around a drum kit it seems. A bit of comedy too at the start with South Park.

The smiles on Geddy and Alex`s face at the end says it all. Hopefully that`s put the silly `it isn`t Rush` comments to bed once and for all now.

Geddy is sounding better than I expected. I might end up going to see them in London!
So I finally got to watch this and I love what I saw.

First off, New Kid was brilliant. Not only was she spot on with all the right notes, but she also mastered the texture of when to tap and when to smash.

Also Geddy’s vocals sounded much better now than on most post-2000 tours. He’d fallen into a trap of high pitched shrieking even on songs where it didn’t fit- especially Camera Eye. But his vocals here are just right.

Dammit if it’s all this good I need to scrape together $1,000 to see them one last time.

That's what working with a vocal coach does. He also skips small parts where he used to "yodel" and takes alternate lines. High parts of Limelight are an example.

Thanks for sharing the video. It never ceases to amaze me that venues are allowed to sell seats from where you mostly can just see the back of the musicians!

That being said, it was great to see Anika's drumming in such great detail. Excellent job. Also, the vocal coach has done wonders to Geddy Lee's voice! I am seriously considering getting tickets to see them at the third London gig next year.

Last, but not least, it is nice to see how a band like Rush manages to sound great on the first show of the tour after such a long break, without needing some shows at the start of the tour to be match fit.

Everything played was indeed on that list based on Anika's personal Spotify playlist. I just checked it and now Something for Nothing has been removed and Malignant Narcissism added.

Indeed. The last song to be added was apparently By-Tor and one song got taken out.

They should rotate 5 or 6 songs tonight, since they are 16 left unplayed out of the 38. One rotation spot is Vital Signs - Anthem - ? - ? as can be seen from Alex's setlist.
