18th Studio Album discussion

But why can't they release in the same year? Bruce in Febuary and Maiden in September, half a year apart, enough time between those two albums for marketing and stuff.
There really doesn't seem to be any dedication for a new Maiden album, more if it happens it happens. I really don't expect them to even consider recording an album until 2027 at the earliest, which could mean we see both in the same year if they go that direction.

That’s the correct conclusion so far but I still have faith it will be proven wrong, and spectacularly so.

I don't think any album has been recorded, but I don't think their own statements prove anything. If they want to keep it secret, they talk accordingly. Remember that a few months before Senjutsu was realsed, Adrian gave an interview where he said the Steve nowadays tends to focus on vocal melodies and arrangements, while he had writing four songs on his own on the yet to be announced record.

Nicko said that in a posible record he would do it. There is no record. It could be during the end of 2026 and 2027. I m sure there would be a record. The band thought about recording another album after recording senjutsu
Yes. But that was back then, now with a new drummer and their biggest tour is probably different. Let's see if new music is still a priority for them.

True, but since they plan a couple of years ahead (confirmed again by Bruce), and if the next tour is a new album tour (will it be in 2027 or 2028), they definitely need a schedule for recording, promotion and stuff.
The fact is the RFYL physical set is incredibly minimalist. Really, there are so few props that the screens dominate the onstage effects.
So there’s nothing to stop this 50th anniversary tour making way for a new album. You drop 5 or 6 tracks from the current setlist and pivot the tour concept - Voilà!
This is what they did across the Final Frontier 2010 and 2011 legs, with a physical set…
The question is when they might make such a move. Ahead of a 2026 leg? Later in 2026? Drop the x3 killers tracks, Aces Low, and one of the epics (7th son) and there’s already more than enough space to work in a new album.
Wishful thinking by me of course (b/c I desperately don’t want the RFYL concept and set to be the story of the next 1 or 2 years).
It's possible, but they will want to brand it differently with time for screen ideas and maybe something different. Big agree with your last comment.

They can keep it a secret, for sure, but didn't Adrian say that during TFF or it was TBOS promotions? We also know that Steve checks out others' songs, so.

From another recent interview with Bruce:

''But obviously, there'll be other things happening in '26 that I can't talk about. But it's very exciting. I'm also kinda busy with some other things in '26, which you'll hear about soon that I can't tell you about, but you'll be happy. So there's a lot of new music''.

Sure, he's talking about his new solo album and Maiden's 2026 dates, but ''lots of new music'' and the use of ''some other things in '26'' gives some hope.

Nicko said that last month i think

There is no immediate rush to release it so I can definitely see it coming out in the spring of 2028, and as I have said before, record in 2027. Under whatever theme they tour in -27 (which I sincerely hope and believe will not be RFYL leg 3), it will probably include at least one song from the unreleased record.

2028 its too much time if they want ro record a new album.

Yeah I think the lots of new music comment is in reference to his solos stuff. He says they currently have 18 songs ready and "We're recording in '26 and hopefully in '27"

They still have to get the documentary out of the way no announcement on that yet as far as I am aware? Adrian already has a tour announced for next year so you can get a fair idea of when they could potentially get into the studio.

I'm wonder if the announce the documentary movie premiere this year? The visual book is releasing on October, maybe the movie see a daylight this November.
