With Bruce these days it will be more a jogway than a runway...

Joking aside, I am not sure that will work for a singer without in-ear monitors.

If they decide to abandon arena shows for stadiums for good, then it would suck. I would love to see Maiden show in Finland, but I have zero interest seeing them at Helsinki Olympic Stadium, European summer evening concert outside, no thank you.
 
According to Wolfgang Rott the band deliberately chose indoor shows für TFP, so I think it'll happen again, as long as there is a set that doesn't appeal to the masses.

They will play some arenas (same as this time, I can't see them opening a tour in a stadium) but I guess stadiums will remain. The Book of Souls tour moved a lot more tickets than the Maiden England Tour, for example. Actually, from a certain point of view album tours have an even higher chance to sell tickets, since the album itself it's a sort of promotion (meaning that the outlets are all covering it, along with the tour).

That being said, I would prefer indoor venues for a new album tour.

I am leaning towards this too.

Also, Sweden Rock and CopenHell are apparently more or less certain for next year.

So the rumoured shows so far are

Sofia
Athens
Sweden Rock
CopenHell
Resurrection Fest
 
But why can't they do Download, Sweden Rock, Copenhell and other festivals (+some cities) in 2027? Why do you think they have to do European festivals next year if they just did extensive European leg?

This. If no new music, 3rd leg with a couple of changes (makes little sense without a new album) and Part 2? That would be atypical of Maiden, yes, even now.

I don't think Maiden would do it, they had chances. 2012 would have been perfect. One album in its entirety than a Hits tour... I guess it depends on the album, but I usually go for the latter. Playing it in a row is proper.

Because this is one of (if not the) biggest tours and it makes sense. A big celebration. And I guess they want to move on with the next tour in 2027.

There are rumors that the new tour will be announced in October. Later than usual? Because of the documentary and book?

Rumoured shows are also Ljubljana (again start of the EU 2026 tour), Belgrade and Sofia. I'm sure they will also play in Croatia and Romania.

Highly doubt they will do Slovenia, Croatia and Serbia. If they start in Slovenia, it'll likely be Serbia.
 
Future Past tour was announced on 6.october 2022, Run For Your Lives tour was announced on 19.september 2024.

Looking at attendance figures for Future Past in Japan, 6.6k+ average for 5 concerts, no sell-outs. Maybe play 1 or 2 this time in Japan or skip?

In Australia Maiden did 24k+ in Sydney and Melbourne, could they play small stadium in each city as could do 30k?

At moment presuming 16 Europe, 22 North America, 8 South America, 8 RoW?

I know this might sound controversial, but I would prefer it if Maiden bowed out gracefully than played a handful of stadium shows each year. Plus the only way that they will continue to sell out stadiums (at least in the UK) is to tour off the back of a nostalgia theme. It would be great for them to explore more of their catalog again, not just the 80’s. I hope they get more creative on the next tour. For me, the Legacy of the Beast tour will always be the pinnacle of modern Maiden.

The Future Past Tour sold out the UK leg in seconds.

Let's face the fact that Maiden are going to be a stadium act from now on, which makes a lot of sense under every aspect: more money, less shows that needs to be played, better stage designs (I think they'll upgrade for good next time), more coverage.

They will surely add arenas and festivals but they won't go back to playing arenas in most of the European countries. Whatever the theme of the tour is, because the demand is there and now that every show might be their last people are not missing the chance to see them.

If that is the case, I will miss seeing them at the O2 Arena.
