My bad, it is indeed in Cartagena. The festival promoters are the same people who have organised Maiden shows in Spain since 2018.

But it's not so big fest with something like 20k capacity. I think they will play Barcelona too.

Wacken would be a good fit in principle, because they are celebrating their 35th anniversary and have also booked bands with anniversaries, which makes sense.
Three-quarters of the bands are already booked with signed contracts (information from a conversation I had with someone from the Wacken organisation).

I don't think Wacken date (end of july) is good for Maiden. They could probably be on US tour at that time.

It's highly unlikely Maiden will be touring North America during the height of the summer/festival season. My guess is we see a September-Oct leg in North America. Maybe Australia/Japan beforehand, maybe Europe if the goal is to hit the festivals themselves. I could see Europe being after Sept-Oct, though, give it more than 12 months, and hit some larger venues one last time. Especially if they have plans in the first half of 2026.

So far only Adrian has his little tour next year that ends in march. Mabe a Legacy 22 type tour next year but with less shows in Europe during the summer?

Why do you think that? The headliner is not always announced in the first wave of bands.
Guns N'Roses as the headliner 2025 was announced in December.

There are always various factors when the announcement comes, for example when the band itself wants to reveal their touring plans or a time when the ticket sales need to be pushed again, especially the Harder and Louder tickets with fewer perks.
