Iron Maiden in the strangest places

I don't know if anyone has posted it but I think not. The other day I was watching TV show called Young Sheldon which is about childhood of Sheldon Cooper from The Big Bang Theory. And I noticed that one of the characters was wearing white Aces High t-shirt. According to show's synopsis it is set between 1989 and mid 1990.

Edit: found the video also

Not exactly a "strange place" to listen Maiden and not a big fan of Limp Bizkit but at the mark of 2:27 you can listen to them playing Wasted Years. Their guitarist is good enough! Shows much influence Maiden has across the genre.

There is a great cover of The Number of the Beast by Zwan in the movie Spun. When I was watching the movie, it took me a while to realise what the song was :D One of my favourite covers and it also fits the movie really well.

I just rediscovered a 1984 ad for Lucozade starring Daley Thompson and featuring Phantom on the soundtrack.

This may have been the first Maiden song I ever heard as I'm sure I saw this as a kid.

During the final semester of under-graduation, our paper on International Relations had several economic perspectives and I got to read about principles given by economists like Adam Smith and David Ricardo. To remember them, I always made an analogy in my mind of Adrian Smith and Dave due to their similar sounding names with the above. LOL!

Yesterday evening, after a sweaty hot day, I took a refreshing shower and all of a sudden I heard the Fear Of The Dark intro! My mom was watching a tv show where couples buy a house they´ve never seen before. (Don´t know if the format is known in other countries)
Apparently the song was used in that show.

Maybe it was a house on 22 Acacia Avenue...

A few I’ve found.

In the Max Brooks novel World War Z, The Trooper is mentioned as a battle song played to boost zombie-fighting soldiers’ morale.

The Film Rebel Ridge begins with the song The Number of the Beast playing on cyclist’s headphones.

Some year and a half later (pun intended) but anyway: Wait a minute. So there actually IS time travelling in The Big Bang Theory universe AND Sheldon wasn't the one who invented it :O

Actually edit for some reason I thought Aces High wasn't released by 89-90... must be the heat wave taking its toll

On Pop Master TV, a British television version of a radio quiz show, Iron Maiden has featured twice in the Mix Tape round (one audio clip of TAATG unbelievably, and one video clip of BQOBD), once as a general question, and once as the 3-in-10 final round. That's just from my personal watching of the show.

I remember hearing Maiden questions on the radio Popmaster but it was never anything as deep as TAATG or Be Quick.

The quiz show Pointless has had a round on Maiden songs before too, it was a fill-in-the-blanks question with five Maiden song titles, all the well-known singles though.

Nobody got the Angel song, but the guy did know the video clip was Be Quick! The other guy who got the 3-in-10 also won.

There was a question about BYDTTS on another show, I think it may have been The Hit List.

BQOBD was the leadoff single from FOTD and it got a lot of rotation on the metal-leaning MTV shows of its time, so I’m not sure it qualifies as a deep cut…

To the general non-metal listening public anything that's not Run to the Hills or Number of the Beast is a deep cut. I think most people would struggle to name Bring Your Daughter to the Slaughter and it was a Number 1 hit..
