Was the album "Brave New World" like "Seventh Son of a Seventh Son" part II?

I don’t see any strong ties that would bind Brave New World and Seventh Son. Maybe just the bluish tone of their cover artworks, that’s about it.

One more thing—even back when I first got into Maiden around ’90–’93, I always (maybe subconsciously) grouped Seventh Son together with King Diamond’s work. Probably because it’s a concept album, and honestly, it even sounds similar to King Diamond’s style in certain ways—if you know what I mean.

So for me, Seventh Son is kind of like “Maiden goes King Diamond,” on some universal or stylistic level. That’s my take.
 
... but I see what you mean. The atmosphere, the (more or less) horror / occult feeling, the (more or less) conceptual album. Even the synths maybe, despite all the difference.
 
I've never seen BNW as a concept album.

Wicker Man is about playing live music in front of large crowds.
Navigator is a story about seafaring dangers.
The title track is about the dystopian novel (though I'd argue it misrepresents the book quite a bit)
Blood Brothers is Steve's introspective epic with some social commentary.
The Mercenary is about the first Predator movie.
Dream of Mirrors was (partly) written by Blaze and is about nightmares.
The Fallen Angel a fantasy story with religious influences.
The Nomad about a legendary desert figure.
OOTSP about a movie once again and TTBLAH about social commentary, again.

There's nothing tying those songs together thematically. Hell, it's difficult to tie more than two or three songs together. It's just a collection of great songs, not a concept album.

Completely unrelated to the topic, but I think the most cursed thing I've ever seen was King Diamond dressed casual in a backwards ball cap on stage with Metallica back in '99 doing their Mercyful Fate medley:
Feel free to do as you wish with this information. I think Bruce might benefit from this approach, specifically in the sense he needn't bother with the manbun anymore since the hat does the trick for him.

I'll have to find the interview, but Bruce said something along the lines of the "you watch the world exploding every single night" being about the audience response to the first song of a concert when Maiden runs to the stage and everyone going crazy. Maybe someone else remembers that interview?
 
I swear there was another interview, but the only thing I could find right now was this excerpt:
"What I was trying to get on the lyrics was a feeling, just this real positive vibe. I wanted the same vibe I get when I stand onstage in front of all these people and they're all chanting and singing with you."

You don't need an interview for that. I never made the connection myself, but it was brought up on these very forums and it instantly clicked since the lyrics are pretty obvious once you think about it. Bruce's very own autobiography I think touches upon those topics, not that it takes much of a genius to figure out that rockstars have to have immense egos on stage so they can perform to audiences numbering in the tens of thousands.

Works for me. Always felt like the title track was severely let down (to the point of making it one of the weakest songs on the album) due to its cop-out of a pointlessly repetitive chorus.

I mean he don’t do anything experiemental or special vocal wise on neither albums, other than using a little rawer vocals on Seventh son album (for the first time in Maiden?) the music on Brave new world is pretty much a continuation of Virtual XI

I wouldn't say that. We can or not compare it with his TCW vocals:

Moonchild, Madness, Seventh Son, Prophecy, Navigator (pre-chorus), Blood Brothers, Thin Line. The singing and high vocals are superb on both albums. Plenty of special vocals.
 
Hello guys. I often compare Iron Maiden's sound from Piece of Mind to Senjutsu when I listen to them. I would be interested to hear your opinion about the albums from the first to the last. They are still heavy metal, haven't they changed their direction?
