Ordered the new live album on CD recently, along with the last two parts of the Infinite Intanglement trilogy, which I missed out on.

And it was not a bad choice to put Fortunes of War in the set for that live record, as that is a track Maiden will never perform again.

On a sidenote, Look for the Truth also sounded good on Alive in Poland, back in 2007. I think he should do that again as well, even though it's a bit demanding.

Indeed. And I'm very much looking forward to the album, and even more so to seeing him live again, it has been five years or so at this point.

Watching him in his Athens show from 2022.
What a crowd! And blaze sounds good. The band are definitely B level talents though but seem like nice guys.

Is that drummer the same one as the albums? He sounds fine, like a double bassing standard metal drummer on the albums. Live he's really really basic.

TBH he looks great and losing weight Is part of the recovery ! He looks younger this way!!! Go Blaze!!!!
It would be nice if his doctors would take this opportunity to figure out his depression medication so he could maintain a healthier physique. Weight gain is a common side effect to several medications, and from one of his Infinite Entanglement documentaries, he carries around a gallon-sized Zip-lock bag full of various meds. He got diagnosed prior to Blood and Belief, that's when he gained a lot of weight, so one (or more) of those meds is very likely keeping him in his heavier state.

I'm no doctor, of course, but I'd like to see Blaze go on and live strong for a long time to come, and keeping that weight off couldn't hurt in that regard.

I can easily imagine a new album and a new tour as an opening act for Iron Maiden (or a co-headlining with British Lion or Bruce Dickinson). :D
I've been wishing for an opening spot for Maiden for a long time. Ideally, it would've been a great launch to Silicon Messiah to have him open on the BNW Tour, but...probably too soon. Still a little awkward, probably. But nowadays, seeing as the Maiden camp footed part of the bill for Di'Anno's surgery and now Blaze is post-heart attack, maybe they're willing to do him a good turn for once (post-firing).

I've always maintained that getting Blaze in front of Maiden fans who weren't fans of his back during his tenure would've done wonders for his solo career. His solo albums are pretty strong (minus King of Metal), the music is right in a Maiden fan's wheelhouse, and he's singing music more suited for his range. That, and he's probably better onstage overall than he was in Maiden. And, we've got decades now of separation from the whole "he's not Bruce" drama swirling around at the time.

Who knows. Might work, might not, but it would be cool to see. Maybe a good final tour idea. Di'Anno opens, Blaze has the middle slot, and Maiden headlines (obviously).

I strongly think it would work a lot. And the important detail : Steve has mentionned Blaze in Thanks credits in Senjutsu's booklet... Why ? Maybe because Steve had this idea of Maiden touring with Blaze next year... ;)

For some reason I've never thought about it as something realistic, but Blaze opening for Maiden in this day and age would literally be a perfect support band. I would love it if it happened. I don't think he would (or would be allowed to) play any Maiden songs when performing as an opening act, but that's not a problem with how solid his solo material is.
