Yep. Another thing I love about Maiden is that all their songs have a real meaning behind them. I like standard metal songs that are all in good fun (I'm an Amputated fan, after all), but I truly love Maiden because more or less, they've always been the thinking man's metal musicians. History, war, philosophy - there's something real behind it.

If I have to do a album from all the reunion songs it would be something like this:

Disc 1:
1.
The Wicker Man
2.Ghost Of The Navigator
3.Brave New World
4.Blood Brothers
5.Out Of The Silent Planet
6.Rainmaker

Disc 2:
7.
Dance Of Death
8.For The Greater Good Of God
9.The Talisman
10.Death Or Glory
11.The Book Of Souls

It is impossible, but that is like a Best Of off the reunion era... :) Total length: 75,92 minutes !

Disc 2

Hope it's within the duration limit. :p

Thought I may as well also post an ultimate classics era album cover and back cover. Hallowed Be Thy Name may seem a bit mainstream and filled with plenty of overplayed songs but each was seminal in my Maiden listening history. Although when comparing the two albums I prefer Empire of the Clouds.

EDIT: replaced Infinite Dreams with Stranger in a Strange Land and changed up the order.

Forgive me TFF, it's nothing personal.

This is pretty interesting if you have to hold yourself down to a single 80-minute CD.

The main question for me is whether to completely snub Dance Of Death or not. But on an album like this I guess you have to include at least one track from each record.

Let’s see…

1. The Wicker Man
2. The Longest Day
3. The Book Of Souls
4. Out Of The Shadows
5. When The Wild Wind Blows
6. Out Of The Silent Planet
7. For The Greater Good Of God
8. Rainmaker
9. The Writing On The Wall
10. Hell On Earth

I think that comes in just under 77 minutes.

Too difficult to end up with just one CD worth of music!

I will update my original choice with a couple of songs (out go For the Greater Good of God and The Book of Souls, in come The Writing on the Wall and Hell on Earth):

Disc 1:
1. If Eternity Should Fail (Dickinson)
2. The Writing on the Wall (Smith, Dickinson)
3. Brighter than a Thousand Suns (Smith, Harris, Dickinson)
4. Coming Home (Smith, Harris, Dickinson)
5. Brave New World (Murray, Harris, Dickinson)
6. Hell On Earth (Harris)

Disc 2:
7. The Wicker Man (Smith, Harris, Dickinson)
8. The Longest Day (Smith, Harris, Dickinson)
9. Paschendale (Smith, Harris)
10. Montségur (Gers, Harris, Dickinson)
11. Empire Of The Clouds (Dickinson)

It looks like you are a big fan of Dickinson and Smith.

Sadly I had to leave out some songs that are not by Smith and Dickinson, like The Thin Line Between Love and Hate, Blood Brothers, The Book of Souls or For the Greater Good of God (the latter two followed after the release of the new album), but I blame it to the rules set by the original poster!
