For the hundredth time a round where both bands are kind of good and kind of bad so I'm skipping again.

Shit, accidentally voted Slayer.
Ladies and gentlemen this poll is actually tied.

I can't name that many bands I like that are influenced by the Beatles. Definitely not many in metal (and metal is still my favourite genre).

You like bands who are influenced by Slayer. So do I.

Slayer it is.

I also like a lot of bands influenced by Led Zeppelin, doesn't mean I like them one bit.

That's actually a good argument. Pretty sure there are way more bands I like who are influenced by Beatles than those that are influenced by Slayer.

This exactly. Although I'm meh towards most Beatles material, way more artists that I listen to draw influence from them than from Slayer. I honestly couldn't name any bands that I love who are influenced by Slayer.

From the other side of the coin, I'd say a good majority of artists I listen to are influenced heavily by Bob Dylan. But do I want to listen to Bob Dylan? No.

I hate Zeppelin. Thankfully Maiden drew much clearer influences from other bands.

I seriously do not underestimate the Beatles but I find it hard to really hear them in many metal bands we are listening to. People could argue that they've indirectly influenced everybody but I wish these people good luck if they want to make such claims concrete.

Maybe some people are underestimating Slayer and their riffs. Slayer had a much more direct influence on metal bands.

Take Iced Earth. Take lots of trash and death and other extreme metal bands. No Slayer, none, or hardly any of these would sound as they would sound now.
