That was always fun. The cassette player would make a weird noise which meant the tape had gone everywhere so out came the pencil!

Never tried the nail polish, but I did use sellotape for that.

I used to stick sellotape over the bits at the top. It meant you could record over them!

I used to do that too, but mainly on VHS rather than cassettes, think I've still got my cassettes actually. Not that any of them had anything decent on them.

I used to tape more TV than music tbh, and that's still going strong last I looked (although it's now mostly reality crap).

I bet more people remember cassette's than minidiscs though tbh.
