Interesting.

So if I understand correctly, this topic is only about songs we do like (to a certain extent), either in the beginning, either now, or both. So it's not about songs we've never liked.

Have to give this some more thoughts.

                                       _______________________________________

Songs that took time to absorb or are still waiting for such:

Iron Maiden - None
Killers - None
The Number Of The Beast - None
Piece Of Mind - Still Life is one that sometimes is great to hear, specially when I first got the album, but I rarely remember about it
Powerslave - 2 Minutes To Midnight is kinda dragging and did lose some power as time went by, but I listen to it since 1985, so it's really a long time for some changes to happen
Somewhere In Time - None
Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son - None
No Prayer For The Dying - The title track and Mother Russia are in a lower rate than they used to be, BYD...TTS is one song that, although cool to listen sometimes, doesn't me make miss it.
Fear Of The Dark - The Apparition has brilliant lyrics, one of Maiden's best, but it's one that sits on the bottom
The X Factor - Man On The Edge is cool, but one of the album's less brilliant, Judgement Of Heaven went seriously downhill since 1995 and The Unbeliever is kinda the case of Still Life.
Virtual XI - Futureal is a silly song that never really greabbed me, TAATG due to its repetitiviness and minimalism makes me listen to the edit version more.
Brave New World - The Mercenary is the one that wouldn't have make any difference if wasn't written, Blood Brothers always was a bit tiresome, but it's a strong number.
Dance Of Death - New Frontier is kinda idle.
A Matter Of Lilfe And Death - The Pilgrim is one that went very high in my list as time went by, The Longest Day is one of Maiden's worst, plodding, boring and I feel it won't change, FTGGOG is the pinnacle of boredom and surpasses TATTG by far, Lord Of Light is a song that sometimes sounds amazing due to the lyrics and Bruce interpretation, but is a song that is too anticlimaxing as is TLD; The Legacy has an amazing beginning, the verses are ok, but the doubled voices a la Hansi Kursch are a serious downer, the instrumental part from the middle to the end is amazing.
The Final Frontier - The Alchemist has one of Maiden's greatest riffs on the intro, but it's a rehash of other songs. Isle Of Avalon could've been much shorter, but the song make complete sense and that's what matters.
