Dick Brucinson

The TRUE Dick Brucinson
I quite like how the quitars sound on TXF.

All the Shirley-produced albums don't convince me at all. Even the remastered version of the debut tops his production imho.

BNW, TNOTB, SIT. Sorry, can't boil it down to fewer than that, as the instrument elements exist in the context of the mix.

AMOLAD does sound really good too. A bit more natural than BNW, but still good. Some of the vocals are a bit buried though.

The "no mastering" thing also kinda held it back on initial release as I think it needed a bit of boost at the top and bottom to make it more hi-fi, but the 2015 remaster helped.

Overall, BNW is my favorite guitar sound because it's a bit raw and powerful, but I can add more - the unique sound of SIT, the polished sound of FOTD, the heavy and crunchy sound of AMOLAD, or the perfect 80's and clean sound of Powerslave.

Dance of Death has my favorite guitar tone. Followed by probably Seventh Son.
DOD is an curious choice and I was definitely surprised to see more votes for it. It's a rougher, more rock sound, which is nice to me.
Seventh Son is also interesting, like a more ''flowing'' and refined sound, a bit like and completely opposite to No Prayer.

Well said about AMOLAD. I think it's the last really powerful sound.
