Where can i find a version of "when two worlds collide" bruce dickinson

I guess we're the only two on this board having these songs this high. My favourite song with Blaze is The Unbeliever & my favourite performance by him is Blood on the World's Hands.

The X Factor is one of my favorite albums, my favorite songs from the Blaze era are Sign of the Cross and Blood On the World's Hands. The Unbeliever is a definite top 50 song for me, I'm not sure how far up (I've been working on my rankings, but I'm very meticulous and obsessive, and want to make absolutely sure the rankings reflect my preferences, and I've only gotten up to the 130s). His vocals on that song are what first got me into it (it used to be my least favorite on the album, an honor now held by Look for the Truth, though I love every song on the album), and the music followed.

I would say I will, when all is said and done, have around 7 songs from The X Factor in my top 50, which at 64% would make it the most represented album in there.

Virtual XI is definitely a lesser album than TXF but Blaze has some good moments (and not-so-good ones). Futureal is among the good ones, and the first parts of WTWC and LST are too, but on both of them he struggles in the chorus.

But yes, BotWH and Unbeliever are among my favorite Maiden songs. I'm not sure why some people don't like them, especially Blood.

I have 5 songs from The X-Factor in my top 50. Two at the bottom but also two very high:
07. The Unbeliever
17. Blood on the World's Hands

When I purely look at the quantity of songs, then I have TXF very well represented, only topped by two albums:
- SSOASS: also 5 songs (but all five in top 25, and 2 in of them in top 10)
- SIT: 6 songs.

We keep getting the same songs in their concerts for the last 10-15 years with only 1 new song with each new album release. It's about time bruce does some blaze songs or some of the other good, not so popular songs, in their 15 albums

Since Brave New World, they've been doing 5-6 songs from each new album release and they did all of A Matter Of Life And Death.

Personally, I'd love to hear all the Blaze songs with Bruce. No disrespect to Blaze because I do enjoy his vocals on the 2 albums, but after hearing the major improvement on the songs that Bruce sang on, I so badly want to hear the rest.

I will agree that Bruce improved The Clansman, but I think he did about the same on Man On the Edge and Sign of the Cross (Blaze isn't to blame for the bad production on the album version). And I would hardly call Lord of the Flies an improvement, Blaze nails that song perfectly, and Bruce's version was adequate at best.

Pretty much agree with this. I would like to hear Bruce to Educated Fool, he would sound great on that one.

Can anyone list all the Blaze songs that were covered by Bruce?

It's odd, when I listen to songs like Clansman or Sign of The Cross, I think of how it's perfect for Blaze and only he could do it. But then i remember that there are actually a lot of post-blaze material that isn't too far from songs like those.

I love XFactor, and VirtualXI even more! Angel/Gambler, Unbeliever, Educated Fool, those are the first blaze songs that come to mind that are awesome. I truely feel that the material on Virtual XI was something quite special. Steve Harris really poured his heart out on that album. The sound and style is so unique and, as far as i know, unlike any other bands out there.

Lord of The Flies, I love that song! If they don't still play that live, they should. Blaze sounds great on that song, would be interesting to see how Bruce sounds doing it. That sound has such an awesome and unique sound.

Out of all the Blaze songs covered by Bruce, I think LOTF is probably my least favorite... partially because his performance overall on Death on the Road is a bit lacking. I think Sign of the Cross from RiR is the ultimate example of a Bruce/Blaze cover. Gives me shivers, it does.

Personally, I think the band is pretty much done touching on the Blaze era. They haven't done any of it since Death on the Road, and, barring a '90s Tour, I can't foresee them putting any Blaze era songs into future setlists. That, and I really don't think Bruce is the least bit interested in most of those songs. "Futureal", "Man on the Edge" and "Lord of the Flies" he sounds particularly bored on. He did sound pretty well into it for "Sign of the Cross" and "The Clansman," though, but there's not much need or demand to revisit those live, IMO.

It's a shame, since to me, the absolute biggest missed opportunity Maiden have skipped out on is changing their setlists for live shows, particularly since deciding to release live albums for each tour. Instead of trotting out the same old stuff (Trooper, Hallowed, FotD, The Evil that Men Do, Run to the Hills, etc.), they could've made each live release can't miss events for Maiden fans, by plugging in deeper cuts, etc., rather than simply yet another document of the current tour.

I completely agree. However, I think changing the setlist by any more than one song night-to-night would be difficult, considering Maiden utilizes song-specific backdrops, Eddies and lighting. However, changing the setlists more overall between tours would be just as good. I think En Vivo is especially redundant- everything but Running Free and the five TFF tracks had already been released on live albums since Bruce's return.

Yep, a different tour setlist overall was what I had in mind. Changing it every night with their production wouldn't be impossible, but not practical at all. I would be bubbling with anticipation each time a new live album came out if, instead of the above standards, they threw in something they hadn't done in years, or had never done. Instead, I buy them, eager to hear the new album stuff, and zone out during the same-old oldies that I've heard umpteen thousand times. Steve's response has been 'oh, we'd get attacked if we didn't play "Trooper"' or whatever, but I know I'm not the only fan wanting something other than the norm.

But then again, with Maiden continuing to draw young, new fans, I suppose the current strategy works--it's just not as appealing to die-hards like myself.

And I hadn't even noticed En Vivo's redundancy, I suppose since I've only listened to it twice or so. Sheesh!

En Vivo was a huge missed opportunity for Maiden. They had the North American set chock-full of post-2000 songs which they could have culled together for a 3rd disc. At a minimum they could have released 2-3 songs like Colour Don't Run, Ben Breeg, etc. But no, we got the same rehash as noted above.

I wonder if they left those songs out since they're sitting on Donington 2007 to be released sometime in the future. Unfortunately, my theory is that that live album/DVD, along with the 2005 Early Days live album/DVD are on the back-burner til post-retirement, to keep a stream of releases and revenue coming in for the band, so we won't be seeing them for a good several years at least.

But I agree--I would have loved to have some of those songs rather than the same old, same old!

I completely agree. Watch at around 2:00 here- Mr. Newton talks about doing some mixes of live tracks from Sonisphere 2010. Maiden records every show they play, and have done for the past decade or so.
