Inspired by a comment on the No More Lies song thread.

What's the worst Maiden song with just a Steve Harris alone writing credit?

Steve Harris in his prime was an unbelievably talented songwriter and that can never be denied. He still can write some good numbers now too.

That being said of course he has written his fair share of stinkers.

I'll add a poll but obviously I won't add every song with stuff like Trooper, Aces and Rime to it because that's pointless because they're clearly works of genius and don't belong here. Also haven't added more appreciated later Harris songs like Sign of the Cross, Blood Brothers, Hell on Earth and even Blood on the world's hands. I also happen to really like most of the songs in the poll, I'm just adding the less acclaimed Harris songs..

( I'll add an 'other' option for any you think should be here )

Too difficult to just pick one

The Angel and the Gambler
The Fugitive
The Assassin
Another Life
Childhood's End
Don't Look to the Eyes of a Stranger
Drifter

All of them are pretty bad, some others too.

Steve rarely misses with his solo credits. But I voted for Invaders - and yes, for the chorus.

You can argue about Assassin's chorus (even Fortunes Of War) and Angel And The Gambler's repetition, but the songs have other redeeming ideas (plus we have the short version of the latter as a single). Oh, and I love Don't Look To The Eyes Of A Stranger. Quest For Fire isn't that bad (always enjoyed it like Assassin), while Another Life is unfinished, but it's fun.

The rest are all good. Justice for Lost In A Lost World!
