What do you think is Maiden's most aggressive/energetic song?

I'm curious to see what others think. For me, Purgatory takes the cake and the live versions are insane.... I would kill to hear it live like I would for any SIT song other than the obvious 2..

Honestly? Iron Maiden, the song. Just an amazing piece of energy right there. I hear they use it to provide power to former Soviet Republics in Central Asia.

While that version of Phantom of the Opera is played extremely fast and aggressive, Number of the Beast always strikes me as the most energetic. Iron Maiden (the song ) is up there too.

Well, I find it both aggressive and energetic throughout. Just like with everything else Maiden, though, it is tough to pick just one. Maybe BQODB, TLOTLDR close seconds. Nice BucketHead pic by the way.

Agreed. I actually really like Futureal; not sure if it's the most aggressive, but it's certainly full of energy. And, yip, Be Quick or Be Dead would be up there, for me, too.

Lots of great nominees, I guess I would still have to go with Purgatory played live. Insane and intense. Murders in the Rue Morgue is brilliant in this department, too.

I say this, though my favourite albums are Beast, Mind and Slave. Their greatness lies in the balance of energy to melody and refined song structures, though, not on aggression alone.

I'd say both the most energetic and aggressive Maiden can be found on the first two albums. Especially aggressive; I don't really consider Maiden a particularly aggressive band but I'd definitely use that term to describe their first two albums.
