What cover song would you like to hear as the next b-side?

I haven't listen to this version since I was 15 :)

Now that I know the original -then I didn't- I have some remarks :
1) Production : Voice should be higher and more 'close'
2) A drum solo -even a short one- should had been included

No, I meant a full-length (17 minutes) cover by Maiden  :D
The same for Machine gun (11, I think) and Stargazer (8) : Full pleasure  ;)

i never got into that one sadly  :( its my least favorite on the album
It's definitely not horrible, but not the worst one in my opinion. I really can't get into the lyrics... without laughing. They're just so... Friggin' weird. :ninja:

I agree with Stargazer. When I went to the Maiden concert, I seriously thought they were gonna bust that out for some reason.

Another alternative: Out in the Fields (perhaps as a tribute to Phil Lynott?).

Maiden didn't record Don't Believe A Word on the AMOLAD sessions, they covered Angel Of Death.

My memory may be playing tricks!

I wonder where that beauty is now? AOD is a great song.

Realistically speaking: Maiden has always covered song which influenced them. And we have yet to hear any covers from one of Steve's biggest influences: Wishbone Ash.

Pictures of Home - Deep Purple
Emerald - Thin Lizzy

I'm a big fan of both bands, and I know the band are too. I've always thought these two songs would be great for Maiden to do if they gave it a go.

You Could Be Mine - Guns N' Roses.

Dynamaic base line, multiple guitar parts, good drum into, and backing vocals near the end to let Adrian have at it.

I was gonna stay Stargazer but I'll be original...

Rocket Queen by Guns N' Roses. It'd never happen, but Steve doing that bass line would be unreal, and Bruce's voice is perfect for the chorus.

Both of the GNR songs would be interesting, but I don't think that'll ever happen...

I think "You Could Be Mine" would be better, since the style is closer to Maiden. Nicko would fucking rock that drum intro, and I'd love to hear Bruce sing the bridge.

"Rocket Queen" has a looser and bluesier groove, which isn't quite Maiden's thing. But the closing section is brilliant, and I think Bruce could bring that song home with honor.

id like to see them do a top 4O song and make fun of it and beat it to death and really ruin it thatd be funny
