What are the top 5 worst Maiden songs?

I see the pattern between both of your lists. Few that make sense to me and most that don't. Nevertheless it is nice to have this diversity in the fanbase. It means there is something for everyone throughout the maiden catalog

There's no pattern, dude! I'm a fan since I was a child and I know a thing or two, but very, very well, about Maiden. This top 5 might be different, right now and I don't care for certainties or mass appeal. This is for fools.
 
Some songs have good lyrics but bad music, like the Apparition, which redeems it for me. There’s also abundant run of the mill tracks that are enjoyable enough but just very stock (eg Run Silent Run Deep)

My list focuses on Maiden songs that are worse than average, but that I think have done damage to their musical reputation!

Senjutsu - because it’s high stakes, the opening track, the title track, and the first album made with members becoming pensioners. And it’s just a lost song, overlong, plodding, mish-mashing Japanese and Chinese history in a confusing way. Sadly suggests a band ageing fast (which is happily disproven by other parts of this very good album).

Empire of the Clouds - an overlong, musically average Broadway musical. It sadly confirms beyond doubt some of the abuse around bloating that the reunion era attracts.

Mother of Mercy - a song that is average, and that worryingly confirms the fear of some studio trickery in Maidens otherwise organic sound.

Angel and the Gambler album version - the song that singlehandedly smeared the Blaze era in a way that this era didn’t deserve.

Quest for Fire - the moment Maiden went too far in the 80s, a worrying nadir for the dungeons and dragons 80s metal sound they perfected.

All of them are average or worse. It's not really an unpopular opinion. I don't like any of the mentioned songs except of the music of Quest for Fire. Alright the lyrics are cringeworthy but the music is ok.
The thread is about songs that are not from the Blaze era, because it would be easy for most of us to just list 5 Blaze songs. You have 1 more song to list, if you'd like.

For me could be 3 dance of death songs

Gates of tomorrow
New frontier
Age of innocence

And face in the sand and yourneyman. 3 bad aongs and 2 weird songs.

I've got to be honest, I've never really listened to DOD in depth, particularly after Paschendale but I just looked up the lyrics for that one and...

If they aren't the words of a rich, white British man who moved to the Bahamas as soon as he had the financial means to and only gets to know what's happening back home from what's in the English papers...

I haven't been so disillusioned by the lyrics of someone I thought I respected since Conflict recorded 'An Option'.
