Unpopular Metal/Rock Opinions

I'll partake.
- 2112 Is an ok song.
- I cannot stand Jack Whites voice.
- Megadeth's Th1rt3en was pretty good.
- Black Sabbath is extremely overrated.
- Red Baron/ Blue Max by Iced Earth is their best song.
- I don't like Opeth.
- Avenged Sevenfold was never a good band and never made a good album. That includes Waking the Fallen.

- True. Temples of Syrinx is amazing, though.
- Agreed. Jack White is quite annoying.
- Nope.
- Nope.
- ..........IRYO
- I didn't use to like Opeth either, then I saw the light.
- Untrue. Waking the Fallen is awesome.

There's a reason Rush only performs the really good parts live. That, and they're old and probably want to go to bed.
I actually really like some of the in between parts. Especially the Presentation bit. For side long Rush though it's all about Hemispheres.

I never gave two shits about paying attention to Death Metal lyrics, because for the most part they're not really telling you anything, they're just trying to be the most extreme. So yeah...when I listen to Death Metal, music rules supreme...

Yeah I kinda get sick of people saying "I don't like it because I can't understand what they're saying". Who gives a Sh-t! It's about the heavy music.

1. I don't like Pantera at all. I feel like the only metal fan in the world that feels that way. Never understood what the big deal was about them.

2. I cannot stand Motorhead either which I'm the only one out of all my metal friends that doesn't like them.

3. Megadeth I never got much into either, but I've warmed up to them a little bit the last few times I saw them live.

ditto on not liking Opeth, they get so boring after a while... and yea, I strongly dislike Avenged Sevenfold as well, even if Mike Portnoy did drumming for them..

I don't dislike Pantera, and Walk and Cemetary Gates are both awesome, but other than that, I don't get the fuss over them really.

Some people put value in the lyrics, nothing wrong with that.

here's a few more I've thought of:

-I've never really been that big into Anthrax, I like em a bit, but I've just never been a real diehard fan

-ditto on Motorhead, their only song I like is "Ace of Spades"

-never really liked Ted Nugent at all, other than "Cat Scratch Fever"

The only band I'd really classify as me being a diehard fan of is Maiden. Even Metallica, who I am own 2 albums by and 2 t-shirts, isn't necessarily one I'd call diehard.

I give a shit. Not because of the lyrics, because I value being able to understand the lyrics as a testament to good growls.

It has only gone the other way for me. I didn't find them that appealing, then I decided to discover their stuff further, then liked them, then loved them, now they're a pretty decent threat to Maiden for the No. 1 spot as my favorite band.

Iryo, although I kinda find it weird that you never bring up how... non-understandable growls are in Opeth, most of the time.
