My first vote goes to 2AM. I had to think about about the 2nd, but I settled with ATSS. I figured I might as well vote for two, since two of them will be advancing from here. None of these 5 are among my favorites, however.
 
Loneliness is perhaps Adrian's least impressive solo on Somewhere In Time but is still excellent. He was in such stellar form on that album.

Bring Your Daughter gets my second vote for its rock n roll vibe.

Hi everybody.

Can I borrow/steal another four and a half minute from your time?

Here are 12 solos. Via this tiebreak (or more, if needed), 6 solos go to round 2. The other 6 will be eliminated. The list of all eliminated solos in round 1B will be posted after this is decided. Then a break will start. I need time to form new battles and then Night Prowler will make the vids.

So: you can vote for 6 solos. Which guitar solos would you like to proceed directly to round 2? The six solos with the least votes will be eliminated. Here we go:
