Updated the list to encompass newer voters. No new entries overall. "Phantom" and "Infinite Dreams" both broke into the Top 5, in place of "The Trooper" and "Seventh Son" respectively, while "Aces High" reclaimed its place at #3. Other than that, "Children of the Damned" surpassed "Caught Somewhere In Time", and "Where Eagles Dare" did the same to "To Tame a Land".

All in all, "Rime" still leads as the best Maiden song ever written by Steve Harris.

Okay, so! After a long time without updating this thing, I've come to realize that there were quite a few newer voters here and that it was time to update the list once more (which, as always, you can check in the very first post here). This time around, there were quite a few surprises as well: "Aces High" dropped down 2 positions (from #3 to #5) being replaced by both "Infinite Dreams" (which, maybe surprisingly or not, is now #3, behind only "Rime" and "Hallowed") and "Seventh Son of a Seventh Son" (#4), while "Fear of the Dark" rose past both "The Trooper" and "Sign of the Cross", peaking at #7. "Caught Somewhere In Time" and "Alexander the Great" (#8 and #9 respectively) also rose past "The Number of the Beast", which fell down 2 positions (from #10 to #12). "Children of the Damned", I believe, suffered the biggest fall this time, going from #13 down to #16. "The Clairvoyant" (which used to be #19) was dropped from the list in favor of "Blood Brothers", which barely made the list at #20. "When the Wild Wind Blows" rose up a spot to #19.

Despite these changes, however, the list is becoming more and more stable each time. Of course, we'll never have a definitive best-of list (unless the entire forum decides to vote here), but I think these current lists were the closest to a consensus we've come to see yet.

So! I have finally updated this thing, but I'm gonna change a little bit. I haven't kept track of the previous lists outside of the changes I got around to commenting about (I should have, but I didn't), but I'm doing so from now on so that, in the future, when this thread is revisited, we can actually see how each change happened (luckily, the list hasn't changed that much since the initial results). I'll keep on updating the main post, though with a link to the latest list instead of with the list itself. Because of this, I've also included here the previous list, in the first spoiler tag. The second one (after the top 20 list) includes the rest of the rankings (except for "Burning Ambition" and "Invasion") for anyone who takes interest in checking.
