System is still probably what I consider “the last great Megadeth record”, even if there’s only 4-5 amazing tracks on it.

Bad? It’s one of their best from this century. It tapers off a bit toward the very end, but there’s a lot of killer stuff on there. Poland still shreds, and even the more commercial tracks are still really good. No need to be tentative about it.

I disagree would probably be the 2nd next Megadeth album to appear on my list if I continued on.

EDIT: Just in case it's not clear, I disagree with it being bad, not I disagree that you personally rank it at number 7 in your top 10 Big 4 albums list :lol:

I always thought that The System Has Failed was hailed as a return-to-form. Where are the reservations coming from?
 
Maybe I'm just overreacting to things I remember from years ago. Anyway it's good and I like it!

I’ve often wondered the same, but I would ask the same question about Slayer as well.
