Long Beach Arena performance (between 14/03/85 - 17/03/85) - which was recorded as the Live After Death album.

Rock In Rio performance (19/01/2001) - recorded as the live Rock In Rio album.

Live @ Ullevi, Sweden (09/07/2005) - part of the Eddie Rips Up The World Tour.

Live @ Mumbai, India (01/02/2008) - One of the few times they performed in India. Would have absolutely loved to see them live here. Their performance of Aces High (among the best live versions of the song) was included in the Flight 666 (Somewhere Back In Time World Tour).

I saw the Ed Hunter tour, it was a blur of unbelievability ... I wish I could say it was a brilliant show (it was!) but it was just too unreal.

Weirdly, I'd loved to have seen Raising Hell in August 1993. Seeing it on BBC TV was my first ever encounter with Maiden and at the time I preferred that look and lineup to the 80s look of the band.

And I'd like to have seen the 7th Son Tour, maybe Birmingham Maiden England (again, I venerated that show on VHS)

Great choices, but Ullevi was 2005?

Great scott!

Even though I’ve already chosen the two dates I’d like to time travel back to with the DeLorean, I could have picked others—really, any of the options would have worked.

Donington 1988 and 1992 would have been amazing shows to witness. Both had fantastic setlists and incredible atmospheres. Rock in Rio 1985 must have been massive, with almost too many people in the audience — sources suggest there were around 250,000 people there. It would also have been a great opportunity to check out the headliner, Queen. Long Beach 1985 would have been a real thrill, especially to see all the different dates they played there.

If I had a DeLorean and some free time to burn, I’d take a tour and hit up all of these shows. I’d also make sure to check out other interesting gigs and tours along the way.

The unofficial opening night for the VXI tour would be another contender. One of the longest sets they've ever played and a bunch of rarities otherwise unheard.

St. Johns 1999, Rock In Rio 1985 (seeing Queen after Maiden is a huge factor for that one) and Ullevi 2005.

I'd travel back to my first Maiden gig in 1996 and pay my mate and myself a beer because back in the day we didn't have a single cent to afford a drink.

If I had the time to lose...

Bologna 1981 (Killers WT, Bruce debut).
Hammersmith 1983 (maybe the best night of the World Piece Tour).
Rock in Rio 1985.
Saint John (Ed Huntour opening night, already linked by @Patrick92).
Milan 1999 (Ed Huntour).
Rock in Rio 2001 (needless to say why).
Ullevi 2005.
