New drummer is actually quite good from the live clips I’ve seen of Testament. I’ve had the honor of seeing Lombardo twice now with the Misfits. Both times were amazing, but I can’t help to think that the style of punk music the Misfits play isn’t quite Lombardo’s speed (maybe literally). Lombardo use to have a great feel for the “pocket” and he use to lock in those mid tempo grooves like no other (see Dead Skin Mask or Down For Life). I think he’s a bit lacking in that department now, just from the two shows I’ve seen from him.

Grand, they're playing on a bill here next week with Kreator and Anthrax, I'm giving it a miss, as a) too expensive for these bands and b) I'm going away a few days after it, but I might have changed my mind if Lombardo was there too.
