The Ultimate Album #17 Fantasy Contest Thread

If we take the word "prediction" seriously, we will have to consider that the only basis for predictions we have is empirical evidence. The best empirical evidence we have is the output from the band as it is today as a six-piece with Kevin Shirley as producer, thus five studio albums with material to work with. Based on this evidence, we can predict the following:

  • There is a 2/5 chance that the album title will start with a definite article
  • There is a 1/5 chance that the album title will start with an indefinite article
  • There is a 2/5 chance that the album title will start with a zero article
  • There is a 5/5 chance that the album title will be a noun phrase
  • There is a 5/5 chance that the album title will contain a minimum of 3 words
  • There is a 2/5 chance that the album title will contain 4 words or more
  • There is a 1/5 chance that the album title will contain 6 words or more
  • There is a 0/5 chance that the album title will contain a verb
  • There is a 0/5 chance that the album title will contain an adverb
  • There is a 3/5 chance that the album title will contain a preposition
  • There is a 1/5 chance that the album title will contain a conjunction
  • There is a 2/5 chance that the album title will contain at least one adjective
  • There is a 4/5 chance that the album will contain a title track
  • There is a 5/5 chance that the album will contain a minimum of 10 tracks
  • There is a 3/5 chance that the album will contain 11 tracks or more
  • There is a 3/5 chance that the album cover will contain more than one figural depiction.
If anybody wants to do the math on writing credits and song/album lengths, be my guest. I'm just here to show you how a proper prediction is done.

Alexander the Great Live - Rock in Narnia - inaudible

Release Date: 30 February 2057

Since we have (The) Man of Sorrows and The Alchemist, we can just keep guessing Bruce's solo song titles and there is a tiny tiny chance we get it right.

How about Maiden's River of No Return with fast powermelodies and rolling runs of Montsegur?

Hey, what the hell, there's still time so I'll throw my hat in.

The rest of this looks like hell but I’d love to hear this one.
Egypt is certainly a highlight, but I know you, of all people, will be able to appreciate The Gordian Knot, which is sure to be the most complex song Maiden have ever dared to write!

And let's also not overlook Hearts of Men, a soulful acoustic ballad that's bound to bring a tear to even the most hardened cynic's eye.
