Yeh, they could have. Not as it stands obviously; but they could have developed the middle section a little & run it on a bit longer to let both of them contribute. I mean, it's fine as it is; but another Dave solo would also have been fine too.

A new song of my own now, have been working on this for a while:

New song with a new guitar tone, really satisfied with the tone myself. It's influenced by Eddie Van Halen. The song itself combines some melodic solo/rhythm work with improved riffs from older songs.

By the way, if anyone ever has a wish for a specific cover song then let me know because I sure know I want to make covers but can never choose a song.

Yup, had it fitted almost immediately after I got the guitar.

Did you actually get to compare them at all? i.e. did you have a fiddle about with the stock/original one much before it came out? And, I take it it's that neck one we can see?

I did get to compare them. The Jackson stock humbucker was nice but definitely worse than the DiMarzio. It's in the bridge. Pretty much the only thing bad with the guitar is that the single coils aren't anything special. I'd love a HSH configuration so I could play Adrian-like solos in the bridge and Daveleads in the neck but it's not too bad, getting used to soloing with the bridge is also cool.

These last two weeks I've been getting into Classical music and thus dedicated myself to creating something of the kind. My first piece is trying out new techniques and possibilities. It's been very fun and educating.
