Several people I know have gone straight from Florida to Vegas. It looks like this show is bringing people from all over the world too.
Fucking this. I've always said that about hits, and for that matter any other song. If a band, Maiden or otherwise, wants to play a song, let them. There's bound to be something in the set you like. I'm fine with Metallica playing Enter Sandman at the end of every show, and I'm certainly fine with Iron Maiden including NotB in the encore. ....But to be honest I'm glad Run to the Hills isn't in this set.And about FotD, Trooper, NotB...would you ask for the Stones to not play Satisfaction? Would you ask Purple to quit Highway Star? AC/DC retiring Back in Black and Highway to Hell? "Hey, Page, could you not play Stairway to Heaven? I'm tired of listening to it". Those songs are the symbol of the band, the marks that all the crowd will surely follow, that made them (even more) famous, and, damn it, the song they like to play. Maiden did a big thing by skipping Hallowed on 2012/13/14, RttH on 10/11/16, 2MTM this tour...you don't see other rock/metal bands dropping "hit songs" like that. That kind of song is the core of EVERY band, specially on an album tour. I'm amazed and thrilled that they are actually bringing back 2 gems. Every other band would play safe and execute the famous songs (2MTM and RttH).
Apparently the spot that Blood Brothers had in the Florida show will be rotated, we'll see...Also, with Maiden taking the stage in roughly 30 minutes, do we expect to see any changes to the set tonight?
Haha, Bruce really messed up "The Red and the Black." He completely skipped a verse.
Fucking love it!I don't get the hate for Tears of a Clown. I like it, it's a bit different than what we normally get from Maiden. And the guitar solos are terrific.

Empire of the Clouds is a very nice song. But it is by no stretch a master piece. The piano part is probably at the advanced stage of level 1 piano, Level 1, 2, and 3 are very much beginner stages. I'm a beginner in piano and I find Empire very easy to play. From a technical, difficulty and complexity perspective the song is simple, beginners level. It is certainly not a master class. It IS the masterpiece of the album. People have been asking about it regularly despite interviews they've done.
It's a trade off isn't it. Ive seen too many concerts, have too many DVD's with these same songs over and over again. And about FotD, Trooper, NotB...would you ask for the Stones to not play Satisfaction? Would you ask Purple to quit Highway Star? AC/DC retiring Back in Black and Highway to Hell?
As far as I am concerned, it is among the best songs on the new album, in terms of efficiency (a quality that has slightly dwindled in Maiden's music since the X Factor, I think).I don't get the hate for Tears of a Clown.
