How good is The Nomad on a scale of 1-10?

I really like the song, but wonder...

I'm curious what the instrumental section could have been (shorter?) if it wasn't the original. Honestly, one of the weirdest decisions by Steve. It's cool, but. The solos are earlier in the song and the longer instrumental section is so fitting (and perfect; like in ''Thin Line''), so it's hard to imagine with what else they could have come up. Harmonies? It would have felt different than ''Thin Line'' (right) - given the great intro melodies (like the chorus melody imo), it could have been good and fitting too. Not at a slower tempo though, mid-tempo like the verses.

I suppose when you plagiarise something like an instrumental section, time just escapes you.
