The Next Album (expectations / desires)

No, the Twickenham gig was the only one in the next two years. The rumour has it that they'll visit a couple of countries they missed out on during this year's tour. So, Zare, yes, the same setlist, but different countries, i.e. New Zealand and so on.

So they'll going to play that lousy setlist again. Fuck my old boots.

At this point...yes!!!!!!!!! There will be another leg of "somewhere back in time tour"....I doubt that the set can change....
I'm sorry just a little that we have to wait 2010 for the new album and tour.. :(

People...

it's a R U M O U R. Nearly every rumour that has been spread here later proved to have no association with reality.

I think the bottom line is that it is WAY to early for everybody to get all excited about Maiden's new project, no matter what it is. Way to early... they're on break.

No, I think what was said was Twickenham was the only UK gig for two years; not "no gig in UK for two years after this one". So the next one could be two years on from the one before Twick (Brixton 07?), so 2009 is a possibility.

No,next year they will play in countries where they didn't play during their last tour.....so it's an extension of the somewhere back in time tour....
In england, like over in europe, they will come back on the next tour which will be an album tour.Next year they will do few shows only where they didn't play this year with the same set of SBIT tour.

Are you a multi-personality case, or just full of shit?

As for Twickenham, Maiden originally advertised Donington 1988 as the only UK show.

And then they did an arena tour with a new set to boot.

The rumours I've been hearing from the IM fan club is that there will be a Seventh Son based tour next year, with a couple warm-up show in Britain before about 10-15 shows in South America (including Rock in Rio), and then more shows in the Far East with a bunch of countries not done before or recently (including Australia and New Zealand).

Regardless, we'll see.  They better come to Montreal

Your reply to my suggestion there might be a UK show was "no", based on a rumour there might be a couple of shows in Britain. :S

I believe that maiden will not come back in europe next year...
If this rumour that maiden will do few shows next year regarding the somewhere back in time tour,if this will be confirmed,at this point the notice that new album will be out in 2010 (according to bruce during an interview on IMTV)it's official....
The reporter of twickenham gig heard bruce that talked about a new cd and related tour in 2010....
My friends said me that they read on german metal magazine that new album will come in 2010....
Next coming back in europe and in north america is 2010 at this point...!!!!!!!!!

I believe in eternal justice and ultimate power of our Lord.

As emphasised several times, it's a fucking rumour. For fuck's sake, you said yourself in that sentence it's a rumour.

that new album will be out in 2010 (according to bruce during an interview on IMTV)it's official....

Where did he say that? I re-read the thread.... all that was said was that "something special is planned for next year", you're the only one who said it couldn't be an album.

The reporter of twickenham gig heard bruce that talked about a new cd and related tour in 2010....

My mother's dead fish said Nicko eats antelopes.

My friends said me that they read on german metal magazine that new album will come in 2010....

Which friends? What magazine? If you can at least name the magazine, I could tell you how credible it is.

Next coming back in europe and in north america is 2010 at this point...!!!!!!!!!

I'm going to Berlin-Steglitz next week.

We should wait and see. They are a band with a habit of changing their mind, which they are entitled to. They are also a band with a knack of being able to please the vast majority of their fans, even if the fans' expectations are divided somehow. They've always said they only need a break at xmas for a few weeks so who's to say they aren't going to be invigorated enough to a short 2nd leg of SBiT, then go into the studio between apr-aug and then do an album tour, have a xmas break and come back for History pt 3 early next year?

Personally I think whatever they do it will get 100% given by every member because I think the SBiT tour will have given them more "fire" than they've had in a while and is probably what they needed to remind themselves that they can do anything they want, but do it a lot better than anyone else can.

But until they say, we just don't know... What we do know is that it will be Iron Maiden that are doing it. This is all that matters
