The inevitable 1990s tour after Book of Souls Tour ends

Well, the pick certifies that we'll get a 2nd leg. And, the more I think of it, the more tempted I am to see this 2nd leg as an AMOLAD-Like. But I think they'll focus on promoting Legacy of the Beast instead of a 90s tour. They're selling T-Shirts, promoting on the big screens on the gig, and Maiden just can't resist on playing some classics.

Which songs will be featured on LotB? That I saw, Aces High, Wicker Man, Powerslave, The Trooper, Holy Smoke, NotB, The Clairvoyant...did I missed something? We can have a nice tour with that material and the TBoS stamples

I definitely think we'll be getting a short second leg with less focus on BOS and more focus on Legacy of the Beast songs. Instead of doing a full Legacy tour, they can just add a couple of those tunes in and still use mostly the same production without having to take a lot of time off to rebuild sets/etc. Then probably back into the studio at the end of 2017.

Hopefully this doesn't just mean...

Two Minutes, RTTH, Wrathchild, Running Free and TETMD again...

So, how can we treat the set? I don't think they'll drop
If Eternity Should Fail, Speed of Light, The Red and the Black and The Book of Souls

And i, personally, don't want them to drop
Tears of a Clown

So, considering those songs that'll be surely featured on LotB with some spotlights, we'll get something like this
1. If Eternity Should Fail
2. Speed of Light
3. Tears of a Clown
4. The Red and the Black
5. The Trooper
6. Aces High
7. Powerslave
8. The Number of the Beast
9. Holy Smoke
10. The Book of Souls
11. Fear of the Dark
12. Iron Maiden

13. Wicker Man
14. The Clairvoyant
15. Hallowed be Thy Name

It's weird to see Aces High in the middle of the set, but Bruce was barely able to sing it at the encore on the ME Tour, and i can't see they leaving IESF to the encore either. Hallowed as the last song is tricky, but since Bruce's on fire so far, i'll put some faith in him. I would like to see they dropping Speed of Light in favor of a 90s gem or even a classic one, like Revelations (don't be selfish, northern friends. The last time Latin America saw Revelations was in 2008). But i don't think they'll do that, since SoL is the single of the album, and they'll surely not include another song. This set goes to almost 2h of concert when you include Bruce's speeches.

So, this isn't ideal or evne my favorite arrangement of set (i would surely include BNW and Breeg in the spots of SoL and Clairvoyant), but it's the set that'll fit best to their needs (promote BoS and LotB )

1. If Eternity Should Fail
2. Speed of Light
3. Tears of a Clown
4. The Red and the Black
5. The Trooper
6. Aces High
7. Powerslave
8. The Number of the Beast
9. Holy Smoke
10. The Book of Souls
11. Fear of the Dark
12. Iron Maiden

13. Wicker Man
14. The Clairvoyant
15. Hallowed be Thy Name

I think that's a pretty fair prediction, though I personally think we'd get something more like:

1. If Eternity Should Fail
2. Speed of Light
3. Wrathchild
4. The Red and the Black
5. The Trooper
6. 2 Minutes to Midnight
7. Powerslave
8. The Number of the Beast
9. The Clairvoyant
10. The Book of Souls
11. Fear of the Dark
12. Iron Maiden

13. Wicker Man
14. Run to the Hills
15. Hallowed be Thy Name

I am hoping it means more
BNW through TFF songs ... though I am always up for TETMD
That would be nice...

Something in the vein of 2010 would be pretty cool, but to be honest I just wish they'd sit down and take an honest look at songs they ACTUALLY haven't played in a while and choose from those. Don't get me wrong, COTD and Powerslave are amazing, but they both got a pretty good airing on the SBIT tour. How about Die with Your Boots On? Stranger in a Strange Land? The Clansman? Killers? Throwing a couple of those in alongside some overplayed hits would make a refreshing yet crowd-pleasing show.

I think either
2 Minutes to Midnight or Run to the Hills will be out for good on both legs

Wrathchild makes sense too. Maybe replacing Run to the Hills for The Evil That Man Do? They do love to play TETMD

I wouldn't hold my breath for Stranger in a Strange Land. I see it in the same place that Flight of Icarus and Caught Somewhere in Time are: The Steve Harris Doesn't Like It Live Eternal Closet of Doom.

But i was so sure, before the tour began, that they would play Die With Your Boots On, in the name of Bruce's end of cancer

Download is in mid June, that's where they announced the two London shows in 2013. But the 'winter tour' claim really does conflict with one of their press releases which said Download was the only UK show of 2016.
I am holding in my hands a 7" Can I Play With Madness single, on the back it says 'Donnington Only UK Appearance.' They then went on to play 16 (!!!) UK dates at the end of that year. So it does contradict what they have said but there's definitely precedent. We live in hope!! Doubt we'll get 16 shows though! Do I dare hope for more than 1 gig in Ireland for the first time since '96....?

Indeed. I don't think 16 shows, though, and I hope people aren't pinning their hopes on that. More like a handful of shows.
