I don't see why the pessimism. There are levels to rumours some are likely some are not. We already have a context and it was not made up by Luisma.

Nah, just sounds like someone telling that arrogant twat Forostar to do one to me.
I'm going to ignore the language here, as it is the moderators' business to handle it, but I'd like to address something else.
Luisma is given an opportunity to promote his book on this platform for free, unless he's actually paying for it, in which case his posts should be marked as paid publications. Since he's making money out of this, he should be at the very least tolerant of critical questions. Instead, what I have seen him do is try to shut Foro up (as he's asking the uncomfortable questions in this case) and refusing to answer. He is entitled to that, of course, but in return, we're entitled to doubt his claims. Not wanting to spoil the story for his next book isn't a valid reason to censor people's opinions, at least in my book.

This sounds like censorship to me.

It is not Ariana, is just asking someone to treat others and myself with respect. I mean, one thing is not agreeing with someone and hey I do get it, and I have said before "everyone is entitled to its opinion", but it is a whole other thing to just go and attack another fan over and over again to the point that is just personal.

If that can't be understood, then it seems like I'm in the wrong place as I thought that one of the forum rules is to treat each other with respect.

Hi Ariana, I will address this very briefly.

If you go into the thread I created "Maiden Trivia Of The Day" you will see that when Foro asked me a question about how the solography was done, I went into great lengths to respond him in depth.

I also don't mind any questions about my work and when people ask me about I have no trouble at all answering. There's actually people here who have bought it and they can attest that I encourage people to ask anything they want about it...

Now, the thing with Foro is not the questions (which in all honesty I don't find uncomfortable at all) it is what he concludes and say over and over again without knowing what he is talking about. So what I would ask of you is go and search any of my posts where anyone asks me something and see if I haven't answered each one of them.

It is like this, you write your comments and I address them, always unless you just having a go with me...

Hey, I don't think we're going to handle this in public. Clearly there's discussions to be had here, but I'll ask everyone to move on and return to the subject at hand.

Oh and by the way, point me to the question I have not answer according to you and I will answer it gladly.

One thing I must comment is that I have seen all this before. Someone ask a question, for example, let's say, "how do you know that X song was written by Dennis Wilcock?" And I go, "Well because I have the tape where he sang it before Dave entered the band" and then people go, "Really, post a sample" and then one goes, "I can't because the person who gave it to me, asked me not to share it's contents" what happens next? One is called a lair and a bunch of other stuff, even when that someone (in this case me) has answered the question, so the problem is not the question, is that the answer doesn't fulfill the needs of the people asking it...

I agree and I would love mods to remove all comments that don't have anything to do with the discussion about the album, which today has its 34th birthday.

Good to know at least one of us here (currently active, obviously there are a few more) has got access to those tapes.
And if I were you I wouldn't allow anyone's comments to spoil the pleasure of what I'm doing btw, regardless if reasonable or not.

Speaking of which, does anyone know what has happened to the lawsuit pertaining to those early songs?

Thank you very much for your commentaries @Magnus and it is also great to know of another active person who has access to that tapes and more, which is basically the whole reason why I tried to comment on this post ;)

Oh
Not me @Luisma , only heard what was online and accessible for everyone.
Which was more than I ever thought I'd hear by the way, so I'm good with it.

Oh ok! Well, this ties to the other question asked by @LooseCannon . For what I know, the lawsuit is still moving on but of course, nothing has been decided.

According to my sources if the thing ends up in favour of Wilcock's claim, we could eventually had access to much more than those clips that were posted. People don't realise this, but there's various bootlegs from the early days that haven't been heard by many, just a few lucky people who have managed to get hold of them and that won't release them publicly for various reasons...

I fail to see the connection I'm afraid.
In my wet dreams, Maiden were at some point releasing a collection of rarities - Eddie's Archive-like - including stuff from Den's time; with this lawsuit chances of that happening seem to be about zero? (I'm not even mentioning the sad fact of V1 disbanding, which is a bloody shame in itself).
Also I don't see why people who didn't want to share those bootlegs (which I understand, no matter how much I envy them) before the lawsuit even existed would do so afterwards.

There is some stuff available at this point. Is it from your channel?

Can't say Wilcock has improved since either. The man just really can't sing in tune, and the quality of the voice itself is abysmal.
