The Future Past Tour 2024

Yep, part 2 with new song in the setlist. Then when they are ready, album #18 release and tour for it.

Yes, in principle, the part 2 makes sense when you consider that the announced tour indeed is the first half of the albums. But you wonder then why they might have planned it like that. It wouldn't be necessary.
We had such long advance plans at work sometimes to get everybody on board with the vision for a longer period.

Does anyone have attendance figures for the US tour yet?

Have some of the gigs been properly sold out?
Rosemont was properly sold out and was so for about two weeks prior. Think Worcester sold out pretty quickly.

Regarding the jacket, was there just another one that was laying around? I know of the one in Cleveland at the Rock Hall, but the Hall's not going to just loan that out for a night back to the artist if I understand how the Hall works correctly.

Maybe they had two, one as the main jacket and one for backup in case the original gets damaged beyond repair or something?

This was fast (not as fast as that) but more importantly consistant performance under control, which is a great sign.
Great to hear.
it's just as much of a risk to have already announced a tour with an end date of 2026 at this stage. If you take that into account, it doesn't seem so different and unthinkable to have an overall concept that goes beyond that.
The tours are usually 2 years, there should be a reason Maiden gave away both years this time. Nicko is improving. And as Bruce said, they have plans up until then since last year or something. They always have a couple of years plans/ideas.
I love the Download 07 footage from the 2020 broadcast. Excellent sound quality b the video is a bit dark and there are flags everywhere.
Yeah, although the DOD show was dark too. I think they didn't release it because of some of the performances and probably the flags.
Best scenario would be a full show from the 2023/2024 leg + Senjutsu and Stratego from LOTB '22 as bonus tracks. Audio only, IDK.
That would be perfect and awesome. Audio only???
Only question mark, is Nicko. His playing is good for a 72yo guy who suffered an ictus... but good enough for a live album?
For me, for sure. Even from one show atm.

Maybe the jacket was hired from Hard Rock Cafe (NYC) just for that one night?!

Just got back home after the attending the Charlotte show last light. It was fantastic! They sounded great. Nicko sounded strong and I thought he did just fine although "Iron Maiden" seemed to go off kilter a bit. Bruce had a terrific rant before Time Machine that I wish I recorded but it will be somewhere on the net, good stuff. He did complain about the air conditioning again, though I was sweating lol. Crowd overall seemed a bit subdued at times, not the liveliest. But it's a U.S. crowd so it's expected. Glad I was able to make the trip, nothing beats the live Maiden experience.

While on the way to the gig my friend asked me who the opening act was and he freaked out when I told him The Hu. I had no idea he even knew who they were or that he was a fan, so the night was an extra special treat for him.

Honestly they all played great and Adrian really is the featured player this tour. I see no reason why they can't continue for several more years (I believe Nicko should be good to go for the next tour at least). Seriously the energy this band has on stage at their age is astounding. Really looking forward to 2026 when they will come back to the States!

Couldn't agree more!

It was a great show last night. Adrian was stellar and I loved all his solos. Bruce was great vocally. Dave, Janick, and Steve did exactly what they were supposed to do.

Nicko only had maybe two or three brief moments where he got off, and recovered almost instantly. I might be imagining this, but it felt like when he tried a slightly more complex bit of drumming he hit a little softer. Idk if that’s actually true or not, but I noticed that once or twice. Either way, I was really impressed by his playing post-stroke. Also, his drumming sounds waaaay more powerful in person than YouTube videos.

The crowd was okay. I could barely hear any crowd participation on FOTD. Good participation with the arm waving during Hell on Earth though.

No, it’s part of the deal that the stuff is just on loan. If the artist wants it back they have to give it back.

Adrian has gotten a lot of attention this tour but for me the star performer has been Dave. I had never expected him to sound this fantastic after some uninspired years.

Nicko is of course a special topic, but considering the performance of the others, I have to admit that I've never really understood why there's so much discussion about age, retirement, last tour etc. with Maiden of all bands.

Also with the "X can't play this, Bruce can't sing that" discussions. Fans outside here realize it's not the same as 20-40 years ago too but don't care, they just want to see/hear Maiden perform their favorite songs and have a good time.
