They mispelled Meshuggah... who are beneath Ghost, smh...
There is a very good reason for Meshuggah being beneath Ghost.
I felt that Tobias should probably have not talked to the crowd as much as he did. He really dragged it out some times.
I've never been to a Ghost concert, but have seen them headline a festival and I know what you mean. Does he still do that bit about the female orgasm? All three times I've seen Ghost he introduces one of the songs with that story and it's not brief and has become very boring. It's like Ghost's version of Bruce Dickinson's rants.

By the way, @LooseCannon Heavy Montreal is the weekend before the Iron Maiden concert and Slayer have been announced as one of the headliners. I probably won't be able to fit it into my trip.

Ghosts's last two albums have peaked at 8 and 3 in the US album chart. Meshuggah's last two have peaked at 17. Ghost are significantly bigger than Meshuggah.

Yes, he still does that bit, it was the second longest and probably most annoying, because by that time I really wanted to start for the doors, but you don't wanna miss out.

I would say it's as bad as Bruce's TBOS intro for COTD.

Edit: I also won't be doing Heavy Montreal unless they put someone amazing in the list.

Last Sunday I saw Kreator in London. It was a package tour called The European Apocalypse co-headlined by Dimmu Borgir with support from Hatebreed and Bloodbath. As I have no interest in Bloodbath I made sure I arrived a bit late and had a beer outside the auditorium in the venue and entered once they'd finished. Hatebreed were decent but as it was my third time seeing them I already knew exactly what I was getting and they aren't the most diverse band. They played well and had the mosh pits going but I think I have to be in the right mood for that sort of angry, meathead music. Dimmu Borgir were pretty good although I'm not too familiar with their music apart from one album from 11 years ago from which I think I recognized two songs. Kreator were fantastic as expected despite having a slightly shorter set since it was a co-headline show. They recorded the show for a DVD too which I will look out for to spot myself in the distance. I had a to leave a couple of minutes early to make sure I got the fast train home (which I managed, just) so missed the end of Kreator's set, although I'm not that fussed by the older classics and prefer the more recent songs in the set such as 'Enemy of God', 'Gods of Violence' and 'Phantom Antichrist'.

P.S. I know it's easy to get a bit of beer on you at Metal shows as it gets spilled when people shove, but last weekend was a whole new level. People were actually throwing beer around. Why do English people do this? What a fucking waste.

The future schedule is now:

22/3 Kamelot/Evergrey/Visions of Cheeselantis, Birmingham
26/3 Skarlett Riot, Oxford
late March: Cellar Darling
late March: The Lounge Kittens
16/4 Avantasia, London

5/8 Iron Maiden, Montreal
8/8-11/8 Scorpions/Sabaton/Anthrax/Queensryche/Dimmu Borgir, Bloodstock Open Air
25/11 Halestorm, Nottingham

Before the end of the month I'll do a post summarizing my year of concerts.
