Myles Kennedy just announced this tour:

Reason I'm not going to the London show is that I am not a big fan of buying a ticket for a show in a shithole venue in an off-location that costs "peanuts" only to sell tickets for more than £30. Bad deal for the customers! Wants me to buy a ticket-NO!

Although I do have a £50 Ticketmaster gift card.

I might treat myself to a Kreator show ticket on Friday depending on how 2 exams that I have on Thursday go. I'll probably do it if I pass both of them. Or one of them. Or might buy it to cheer me up if I fail both. :P

I'll be in London from Feb 14 - 18, I haven't seen anything worth going to but if anyone knows of any local tips, I'm so down to go to a show.

Got a ticket for Roger Waters in brum. It’s like half way back, should have tried harder for a better ticket, oh well.

Got standing ticket for Maiden I’m Brum in August.

Honestly, the only time I've seen Primus was a huge letdown (too much jamming, not enough songs) and the only time I've seen Mastodon was just average. It might be that Clutch opened for them at the time and had way more fun up onstage.

I did. :D I didn't want to comment before because we, Balkan people, are superstitious and I didn't want to jinx things before getting a ticket myself.
I agree that it's not cheap for a venue that could barely hold 1000 people, but it doesn't seem to bother a lot of people. All UK shows were sold out on the first day.

I'm undecided over whether the ticket prices are high for the venue Myles plays in Berlin. They certainly don't fall in the category of "Oh, wow, that's cheap!", but I would say that if they're overpriced, then only slightly so. We're talking 29 Euros for a venue that fits up to 1050 people.

That's on par for what I paid for Sabaton this tour, way above what I paid for Sabaton last tour and more than I paid for Iced Earth, and less than half of what I paid for Nightwish in comparable venues.

Myles is playing in the Birmingham Institute 2 (small room) and the Islington Assembly Hall (London). Two weeks after his Birmingham show I'll be seeing Testament play the main room (1500 capacity) for about £15 less than the Myles Kennedy ticket in the small room (600 capacity). Two years ago I saw Symphony X play in the Assembly Hall (900 capacity) for a similarly lower price than the Myles Kennedy show. Neither Testament nor Symphony X are as big a deal as Myles Kennedy of course so their tickets would naturally be cheaper than MA's. However, at those sort of prices and the demand for tickets his shows could easily have been upgraded to larger venues such as the KOKO which has 1400 capacity. Incidently, Delain, Thrice and Sepultura tickets for that venue all cost less than the MK ticket for the Assembly Hall. With tickets in excess of £30 his shows should be in the Brixton Academy (just short of 5000 capacity) where Helloween played at a similar price to the MK show. Even Alter Bridge's Royal Albert Hall show with an orchestra was a more appropriate value for money at £50. The pricing for this tour seems to be a very cynical supply-and-demand scheme or maybe Myles just demands a massive fee because he's such a big deal. It's not like his solo tour is going to have an extravagant stage show or a large number of roadies. Sad!

Gonna be there for opening night. More interested in Mastodon but I have some friends who are Primus fans so I’ll check them out too. Also Red Rocks

Goodness, just don't go then, Wiz! No one is forcing anyone to buy tickets for shows.
By the way, I don't know who Myles Allen is.

I'm not going, as I already specified! And Myles Allen is a scientist at Oxford University, I've seen him give a seminar before. Keep getting confused between the two! Will edit my post.
