Hmm, despite not being an Opeth fan, there is a pretty good chance that I might be going there as well.

Just got my Cheap Trick ticket, wohoo can't wait till Sept 22nd! And as 2 added bonuses, on 9/23 I'm off for Yom Kippur, and it's the first day of fall:nana:

Cool. I'm seeing Cheap Trick next week, pretty excited! The set list is awesome.

yes indeed! This will be my second time seeing them, I saw them in 2013 as part of a radio station concert.. was a bit weird seeing them before Alice in Chains & Soundgarden, lol, but they were great nonetheless (Nothing against AIC or SG at all, I love both those 2, but obviously CT have been around much longer)

Cheap Trick was fucking awesome. So they were opening up for Peter Frampton but he got sick and cancelled last minute, so Cheap Trick came out and did a 2 hour set. Played all their hits plus some deep cuts which were really cool. Robin Zander's voice still sounds smooth as it did in the 70s even 40 years later and the band just slayed. They're still one of the best classic rock acts around.

Blind Guardian was amazing. The 2 opening acts were Australian power metal bands by the names of Bane of Winterstorm and Divine Ascension. Divine Ascension seemed fairly decent, might have to check them out sometime. Anyway, the crowd definitely didn't seem to know the Red Mirror songs that well, but everything else went down a treat. The crowd shouted so much for Majesty to be played but it didn't even actually go down the best. Bard's Song and Valhalla went down better, especially Valhalla, as everyone was still singing the chorus even after Bard's Song AND Mirror Mirror. Setlist was pretty good and there's definitely a ton of songs that I loved seeing, although Sacred Worlds would have been amazing too. I'm fairly sure the setlist is correct, although I may have forgotten 1 song or shuffled the order a little bit.

Saw Pallbearer last Saturday and Machine Head on Wednesday evening, both great gigs. Pallbearer are a doom band from Arkansas...heavy down tuned guitars coupled with sweetly clean vocals.

I went and seen Slaughter twice Saturday night at a casino in Central City Colorado! Got free tickets so couldn't pass it up. Both shows we're pretty damn good, got up to the 2nd row for the 2nd show. Caught a guitar pick and the bassist handed me his pick and shook my hand, it was great!
