It's like some sort of blend of Deep Purple and Dio-era Black Sabbath. Bruce does some Gillan stuff, but he's also got that Dio grit going on too. It's so good.

Bruce sounds amazing, especially during the "Shadows in the stars..." part. Also was not expecting that seriously groovy intro, and the overall Deep Purple vibes. Slightly cheesy lyrics, yes. But it set the tone perfectly, and is just what I expected out of a single!

I definitely get the Dio vibes, most notably with Bruce's performance at the very end. That vocal run with the added falsetto ghost note might be my favorite thing he's done since Thin Line.
