Ah ok! Yea hard to say. I could see him forgetting, especially if Steve only added stuff after the bulk of the song was written.

When there is a collaboration of contributors to a song Steve tends to be the last name on the credits. Does the order of names suggest less/last involvement in the writing process?

And to make this post "SoL-related"...the chorus, the cowbell and the solos rock!

I'm not sure how that topic started. Has anyone read anything that suggests there will be a second single? I wouldn't have thought there was enough time between now, potential tour announcement, and album release.

Yeah...its wishful thinking on my part... Not much time left for another song release i guess

I remember Wildest Dreams we got before the album and also Wickerman. Rainmaker and Out of the Silent Planet videos were released after album release right? Was it the same for El Dorado and Final Frontier or Benjamin and Different World? Cant remember

There won't be another single before the album drops, but teasers of the songs I hope

Musicians ears can detect much better than average listeners. I am sure to a drummer the timing issue will jump out just like guitar issue would to me or other guitarists who are maiden fans. When i heard the Adrian solo immidiately i thought Paschendale because as you pick up these solos u sort of learn them note for note

Yeah that's it.
I brought up the Paschendale solo resemblance yesterday and someone answered back with a "other than the first part of the solo, the rest has NO resemblance to the Paschendale solo".

That is not so true. You know that solos are divided into segments. Meaning that there are a few 'runs' or ...segments where you can pick out the beginning and end of that segment. And when you compare SoL's solo to the one of Paschendale it's almost exactly the same. All the segments start and end at the same time it seems. I'm a guitar player as you are and I see/hear or become aware of this much more clearly. It might be harder for those of you who don't play guitar.

But all in all, it was never meant to be a negative comment, I just thought it was funny that it resembled Paschendale so much. I was like "dude you are playing the Paschendale solo!" haha.

Does anyone have an idea of what the lyrics actually are about? Who is it that humanity won't save at the speed of light? (???) Seems vague to me, but I expect that there actually is something to be interpreted here and not just a bunch of cool words and melody.

The solo is reminiscent to Paschendale's for sure. That is for the first part. Cause the ending is almost identical to Wildest dreams. :)

As for the Killers resemblance, yes I can hear that in the melody played after the main riff.
