I went with those as well. I'd say I rate Powerslave-7th Son higher, but I find Beast-Powerslave be more of an embodiment, somehow.

Voted for PoM-SiT, since SiT is my personal favourite, and I prefer PoM to 7th Son. However, 666-PS is arguably the peak of classic Iron Maiden, that's the sound of galloping guitar driven heavy metal that we and the mainstream crowd mainly associate to IM when we think of the band.

As for the OP question, Piece of Mind, Powerslave and SIT are definitely the most enjoyable as Maiden albums from the 80s for me.

Permanent Waves is indeed a great album

It has to be Powerslave - SIT - SSOASS.

I'm not the biggest Powerslave fan, but I prefer it to anything that came before. SIT was an improvement and SSOASS is one of their greatest albums of all time.

Maybe we should do the same with the reunion albums, though I'd assume BNW/DOD/AMOLAD would win in a landslide, despite DOD being seen as one of the weaker albums for many.
